Foundation News
Welcome Welcome to the latest edition of the Foundation News. In what was a topsy-turvy 12 months, we have all learned to be adaptable and take whatever comes our way, with enthusiasm and positivity. The saying “what is normal for the spider is chaos for the fly – there is no normal”, couldn’t be truer. As the foundation team reflected over the achievements reported in this newsletter, we can be proud that we have wholeheartedly embraced the chaos of the spider and fly analogy. This has also been reflected in the support from our community. While we were all facing uncertainty, the assistance the foundation has received has been very encouraging.
We are thrilled to announce that the first phase of the Paediatric Ward upgrade is complete, with the final bespoke joinery being installed over the coming months. We have had some fantastic patient feedback about the space, supported by our clinical staff who were instrumental in developing the concept and part of the project team.
Later this year, we will be launching the foundation’s Regular Giving Program. We invite you to consider supporting St Andrew’s through a regular, monthly donation. More information about this important initiative will be presented to our donors in the next edition of the Foundation News Plus and the hospital’s website.
We have also been able to support the hospital in two different purchases as a result of bequests. If you would like more information on making a bequest to St Andrew’s, please call me directly on 8408 2005.
Thank you all for your support and advocacy of St Andrew’s. We value your contributions.
St Andrew’s is known for its highquality nursing, and the foundation is proud to support the continued development of our clinical teams through our scholarship program. In this edition, we are delighted to announce our 2021 recipients.
Kind regards
Amy Bredon Foundation Director
