Our personal prisons are often not physical but emotional. We are constrained by fear of what others might think or do think. We hideaway in the darkness of our own little cell. As we dwell on this text let us think about the things in our lives that imprison us and ask an angel to come and open the door and lead us out.

Peter is also arrested and is to be put in front of a public court after the Passover except he has a miraculous escape. Peter is being kept in prison and the church are praying for him earnestly, did they not pray for James? 20
