Descend our grand staircase and say “I do” along the water’s edge.

While your guests enjoy cocktails and delectable hors d’Oeuvres from our expansive lawn, you may choose to toast from your own private launch boat as you experience a tour of our mooring field. Afterwards, celebrate in style under the tented stars or our picturesque Galley Bar and Main Dining Room. No matter the season, Stamford Yacht Club provides a setting which is sure to be nothing short of breathtaking.

bridal suite

Tucked away in a quiet corner is your own private wedding day suite. Featuring Victorian sofas and a wood burning fireplace, this intimate room offers just the right amount of space to allow you and your maids to be pampered in true wedding day bliss. Relax your nerves with a bottle of champagne paired with assorted international cheese and crackers.

Beneath a towering Oak tree, white garden chairs line the lush grass leading to the water’s edge. Complete with shrubbery and seasonal foliage, say “I Do” amidst one of Fairfield County’s most picturesque backdrops overlooking Long Island Sound and with Stamford Harbor Edge Lighthouse sparkling in the distance.

cocktail hour

The natural seabreeze from our expansive front lawn and nautical characteristics of our Galley Bar’s deep mahogany frame, make them two of our most sought after event spaces. Reserved exclusively for your cocktail reception, your guests may feast on displays of overflowing hors d’Oeuvres and tasty delicacies while enjoying refreshing cocktails and signature blends.

TENT Erected in the center of our expansive lawn is your own private Tidewater Sailcloth Tent, complete with a centralized dancefloor, lighting, attractive wooden poles and optional side curtains. With its high crested peaks and swooping fabric curves, its nautical appearance and waterproof design is sure to make your outdoor wedding one to remember. Additional fees apply..

MAIN DINING ROOM Centrally located between our Galley Bar and Grand Ballroom, our Main Dining Room features large pane windows overlooking the Sound, nautical accents and optimal seating for your nearest and dearest friends and family.

BALLROOM Natural hardwood floors and wood burning fireplace make our Ballroom one for the ages. With easy transition between the Galley Bar and Main Dining Room, the Ballroom allows for extra seating, mingling and dancing.

End the night with your toes in the sand, while sitting around a campfire alongside your closest friends and family. Relish in the moon’s reflection and enjoy a cooler of beverages and late night snacks. Additional fees apply..

GUIDELINES & ADVICE WEDDING HOURS With only one wedding at a time, you are given complete flexibility in selecting a time which will work best with your wedding day schedule. As a guide, all receptions are not to exceed 5 hours in length and must be completed no later than 12:00 a.m. on any given evening.

MENU TASTING You and two guests are invited to an intimate menu tasting in one of our private event spaces.

Tastings are typically held three to six months prior to your wedding day and include a variety of appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts.

FOOD & BEVERAGE Stamford Yacht Club is the sole purveyor of food and beverages for all events with the exception of wedding cakes. While off-premise catering is not permitted, our team of culinary professionals is happy to accommodate dietary requests and restrictions including, but not limited to kosher, gluten, vegan and vegetarian.

COMPLIMENTS OF SYC Here at SYC we go a step further to ensure every detail is met. Show us your vision and we’ll bring it to life with custom menu & escort cards. Additionally, once the final song plays and your guests have all gone home, enjoy your first night as a couple in our bridal suite.

frequently asked questions Is a member sponsor required?

As a private club, a member sponsor is required to host an event at Stamford Yacht Club. While we encourage you to reach out within your community, we are willing to work with you in finding a sponsor if necessary.

Do I need to guarantee a minimum number of guests?

The minimum for a Friday or Sunday is 100 guests and the minimum for a Saturday is 125 guests.

Is the Club handicap accessible?

While the Club does not feature an elevator, ramps are available to enter and exit the building.

Are there indoor and outdoor reception options?

In addition to our expansive Ballroom, Main Dining Room and Galley Bar, we are happy to accommodate outdoor tented affairs.

What other wedding services are provided?

The Club is happy to host your engagement party, bridal shower, rehearsal dinner and/or post-wedding brunch.
