Why: As city populations continue to
grow and their boundaries remain the same, it has become a necessity to live efficiently, resulting in the condensing of our habitations. In the past few years, the urgency of efficient housing solutions has become most prominent; Mayors of cities such as Boston and New York City have challenged designers to begin implementing these smaller unit typologies within new developments despite their size, which do not meet the current code requirements.
