It is also the most historically accurate musical portraying the Oregon Trail to date; featuring 12 educational songs, a set precisely replicating the trail’s landscape, and appearances from famous historical figures, such as Henry McDoon, Cletus Jones, and Cornwallis.

Everyone knows the story of Jack and Jill, but do you know what happened the NEXT time they went up the hill? In this play they discover that the village well has mysteriously gone dry. The kids investigate, and they find a trio of witch sisters who have stolen all the water!

Now it’s up to Jack and Jill to outwit the witches and save their village! This warm and funny musical will appeal to the whole family.

I love writing and directing family shows, and I'm grateful to StageCoach Theatre Company for allowing me to present my newest.

My incredible staff and I have had an amazing cast turn out for auditions. Everyone has been fully professional and dedicated to this project, and in spite of some time crunches and last-minute fire drills, we had a lot of fun following Jack and Jill up the hill again! So if you enjoy the show, please be sure to take note of every name you see in the program. I personally can't thank them enough for helping me bring this show to life – and proving that nursery rhymes aren't just for the nursery!

Joe Campanella (Director): Joe has been doing theater since 1999. He got to play his dream role as John Adams (1776). He has written and directed the family musicals Rapunzel, Hansel and Gretel, Cinderella: Once Upon a Time, Old MacDonald's Farm, The Empress's New Clothes, and The Elf Who Came for Christmas, and non-musicals A Christmas Carol and World of Spycraft. When not writing, Joe enjoys skiing, board games, and petting his two cats.

Amy Litteral (Musical Director): Amy received her BA in Music Education and Vocal Performance from VA Tech, and worked for many years supporting music education at The National Association for Music Education. She's sung professionally and in community performing arts in VA, DC, and MD, directed, performed with, and choreographed her own ensembles, and music directed multiple community and school productions. She's excited to work with StageCoach Theatre for the first time, and to work again with Joe Campanella as well as the talented Phil Kuhn. It doesn't hurt that she gets to work with her firstborn again! Many thanks to Bryan and Cameron for their love and support!

Claire Coker (Assistant Director/Narrator Understudy): Claire is always excited to support a show from behind the scenes, and this one is no exception. She has held several backstage positions for StageCoach Theatre, most notably in the tech booth. When not in the theatre, she can be found spending time playing lacrosse, writing, or watching movies with her friends & family.

Phil Kuhn (Keyboard): Phil previously accompanied Sterling Playmakers and On That Note, and is happy to being doing his first show with StageCoach Theatre. When he’s not working, he’s usually playing with two local bands at a variety of venues in the DC area.

Witching Well Maureen ... by Lisa Alford Maureen is the leader of the three Water Witch Sisters.

She knows more about magic than the others, and she tries to instruct them on the proper procedures... but spends more time playing referee than instructor.

Lisa is excited to be back on stage to take on a role outside of her comfort zone. Her last performance was a cabaret fundraiser for StageCoach Theatre. When she is not singing or assisting with a show, she loves to share her creative baking creations with the cast and crew.

Simple Simon ... by Matthew Cibak Simon is quick to help anyone who needs it. His problem is that he's a bit of a klutz, but a loyal klutz.

And he loves pies -- which gets him in big trouble with the town's pieman. If he can catch Simon, that is!

Matthew is excited to be in his first production at StageCoach Theatre. He graduated from Radford University back in 2019 with a major in theatre. Some of his previous roles include Dr. Marty Sterling in Isn’t it Romantic, Oscar D’Armano in The Wild Party, and Dr. Carey and others in Stuart Little. He is thrilled to be working with such a fine cast and crew for this production and hopes you will enjoy the show!

Jill ... by Malaia Dujardin Jill is Jack's sister, the one who "came tumbling after" when he fell down the hill. No longer a sweet little girl, Jill fights with her brother often and disagrees with her parents. Here's hoping she learns a lesson today.

Malaia is so glad to be a part of this show! Some of her favorite roles are Peter Pan (Peter Pan), Puck (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), and Duloc performer/Knight (Shrek the Musical). She is in 9th grade and enjoys watching and performing in musicals, making art, and being in nature. She’s very thankful for this wonderful cast and her amazing parents. She hopes you enjoy the show!!

Witching Well Narrator ... by Cady Litteral Our Narrator is your gateway to the world of nursery rhymes. She begins the story and keeps everyone up-to-date about what's happening in the adventure, through commentary and pretty-good humor.

Hello, hello! Cady is excited to be in her first performance with StageCoach Theatre. She’s previously been in The Music Man and Rapunzel (Sterling Playmakers), Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory as Grandpa George and Grease as Frenchy (Seneca Ridge MS), and It’s a Wonderful Life as a foley board operator and Singin' in the Rain (Dominion HS). She’s an avid oboist and enjoys listening to music, obsessing over Marvel movies, and participating in the performing arts. She’s happy to return to the stage with Joe Campanella for a fun-filled performance. She hopes you enjoy the show!

Wendy ... by Cindy Mayer Jack and Jill's mother is named Wendy. Like all members of Mother Goose Village, she's a friendly sort who loves her neighbors and her family -- even though lately she can really use a vacation from that family!

Cindy is excited to have a role after over 20 years of taking a break from the theater. She is a native of Virginia and was active in theater in high school and college. She is known to break out into song spontaneously. Cindy currently resides in Ashburn and works as a proposal manager by day. She would like to thank her husband and 3 sons for surviving without her while she attended rehearsals!

Arthur ... by Clint McCauley Jack and Jill's father is named Arthur. He's a good father and a good husband to Wendy -- most of the time. But he has been known to do the guy thing and drive Wendy crazy every so often.

Clint is delighted to be in his first named role in community theater. Previously he was part of the ensemble in The Social Secretary for Sterling Playmakers and in stage crew for The Musical of Musicals the Musical for Reston Community Players.

He lives in Herndon, VA.

Witching Well Flo ... by Paige Och Bubbly and optimistic, Flo is the positive to Celine's negative. She finds fun in everything, and it takes a lot to get her down. In fact, the only reason she's an "evil" witch is that witches are supposed to be evil.

Paige is excited to be part of community theater in her new home of Ashburn! Originally from West Virginia, Paige served as Miss West Virginia 2014 and competed in the 2015 Miss America pageant. She was involved in community theater in her hometown for most of her life.

Some favorite roles include Sandy (Grease), Silly Girl (Beauty and the Beast), and Olive (25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee). Paige now teaches 8th grade English at Brambleton Middle School.

Jack ... by Princeton Porterfield Jack and his sister Jill once went up the hill to fetch a pail of water. He used to be a good kid, but he's older now and not at all wiser. He's not exactly a poster child for proper behavior.

Princeton is very excited to perform in this show. He has been in 9 performances thus far. He attended Interlochen Center for the Arts in Michigan last summer, where he gained experience dealing with all aspects of acting/production. His favorite performance so far at 12 years old has been A Midsummer Night's Dream (Oberon). His passions include drawing, acting, singing, building Legos, directing short films, and writing piano music.

Mary Quite Contrary ... by Marie Pyhtila Sometimes shy, sometimes strong. Sometimes confused, sometimes certain. Mary Mary Quite Contrary is the best gardener in town and a devoted friend. She just needs a little time to make the decision to be that.

Marie is so excited to be doing her first ever community theater show! This show, the cast, the people - they are all wonderful and so pleasant to work with. She is a freshman at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, and absolutely loves singing and anything to do with music. This has been an awesome experience and she can’t wait to perform!.

Witching Well Undinah ... by Tina Pyhtila Undinah is a water elemental -- an undine -- created by the Witch Sisters as their personal toady. A mute creature formed out of water, Undinah finds great excitement in discovering the amazing things all around her.

This show will be Tina’s first named role! She was in the ensemble in Sterling Playmakers' The Social Secretary, where she actually heard about this show! In her spare time, she likes to dance, learn gymnastics, swim, and watch TV. She thanks her family and friends!

Celine ... by Claire Serverson Cynical and argumentative, Celine is the negative sister.

If there's something to complain about, she'll complain.

If there's NOTHING to complain about, she'll complain anyway.

Claire is happy to be in her first StageCoach Theatre show! Previous roles include Margaret in Much Ado About Nothing, Hedy (understudy)/ensemble in How to Succeed..., Lady With Cane/ensemble in Beauty & the Beast, and Mrs. Corry/ensemble in Mary Poppins. Claire is also an interior designer, a princess party performer, a Disneybounder, and a mermaid. Thanks once again to Eric for his continued support--I love you! <3
