Our 7-day domestic and international Residential Life Program is the perfect complement to a worldclass education. Students are presented with learning opportunities that transcend the classroom and are exposed to a diverse international population. Students are pushed to explore new interests, embrace the value of service, and become active members of our community.

Activities The Residential Life Program offers a myriad of activities around the Charlottesville area ranging from going to the movies, cooking together, hiking or volunteering at a local organization.
Residential Life Staff A 6:1 student:faculty ratio and â€œHouseâ€? system ensures every student is known well and they have someone to care for them and offer support when needed.
Residential Life Students from 8 Countries
Dorms Up to three students per room, boarders are matched based on gender, age, and interests. Living with roommates allows students ample opportunity for personal growth and development.
Charlottesville A bustling college town situated within driving distance of the state and nationâ€™s capitals, Charlottesville offers a rich history, multi-cultural events, activities for all interests, and worldclass medical centers and university.
Host Family Program Boarding students are connected with day student families and are welcomed into their homes on a regular basis for meals, celebrations, holidays, and the occasional overnight visit.
Culture & Diversity With students from many different countries, including Canada, China, Germany, Kenya, Korea, Spain, United States, and Vietnam, life on dorm is a culturally diverse experience for each boarding student.
