MY FIRST MEMORY OF ATTENDING ST. PAUL’S is of being in awe as the choir processed down the center aisle. I would come home every Sunday and process singing through the house, ending up standing on my bed, the choir loft. I joined the children’s choirs under the direction of Anna Teagarden. As eager as I was to start singing, I absolutely hated children’s choir. I wanted to quit desperately. Luckily, Anna was insistent that I continue to sing. The training and inspiration I have gotten from St. Paul’s has led me to pursue a career in music. Without Anna’s help, I am not sure if I would be as passionate and dedicated to music. Her undying love for music has inspired me and others in the St. Paul’s community to become more involved with the church. I have had the privilege of being a member of the St. Paul’s Choral Scholars for the past four years, serving as an ambassador of the church by telling Scholars more about St. Paul’s and answering their questions about the church and Christianity. For the past four Christmas Eves, I have either sung or served as an acolyte at every service, resulting in spending thirteen hours at St. Paul’s each Christmas Eve. There is nowhere else I would want to be. This year, I had the privilege of leading the “grand procession.” Being my final year at St. Paul’s, it was special to be leading everyone in this meaningful, significant procession. I felt
