MOU Signing for Dialysis Unit at Sen Sok International University Hospital The SSIUH is thankful to NGO - Ubiquitous Blood Purification Centre - Japan for signing MOU for establishing of the Dialysis unit. On this occasion H.E. Mr. Ouk Rabun -Personal Advisor to the Prime Minister, Minister for finance and Economy, Secretary of state was Guest of honor. The other guests present at the occasion were Dr. Hideo Hidai, Dr. Haruki Wakai and Dr. Sabo Ojano. The partners of this project signed the MOU at the end of this ceremony and enjoyed this moment with the audience. Why Dialysis is Important for patients? Hemodialysis works by circulating the blood through special filters outside the body. The blood flows across a filter, along with solutions that help remove toxins.

Dialysis uses special ways of accessing the blood in the blood vessels. Blood is diverted from the access point in the body to a dialysis machine. Here, the blood flows counter-current to a special solution called the dialysate. The imbalances and impurities are corrected and the blood is then returned to the body. Typically, most patients undergo hemodialysis for three sessions every week. Each session lasts 3 – 4 hours.
