A Spitzer School of Architecture Yearbook This yearbook is dedicated to all the students who survived the rigorous five years of architecture school. South Africa hosted the first World Cup on the African continent.

July 2010

WikiLeaks released 77,000 US military files chronicling the war effort in Afghanistan. WikiLeaks continued to release another 400,000 war logs from Iraq in October and 200,000 US diplomatic cables to the media in November.

August 5, 2010

33 miners in the San Jose copper mine were trapped in a collapsed shaft 2,300 ft under the earth for 69 days and became overnight national heroes.

Mexico’s struggle with the drug cartels took a grisly turn as Ciudad Juarez dismissed about 400 corrupt police officers for working with the cartels. Feared drug lord “El Barbie” was also captured with 340 tons of marijuana.

Each studio is assigned a college campus to design a dormitory for.

Hurricane Sandy slammed into more than 800 miles of eastern US seaboard, killing at least 125 people and causing damage calculated at well over $60 billion. NY and NJ were the worst hit.
