Archeology The site occupies an area of reclaimed land, reclaimed from the sea over an extended period commencing at the start of the twentieth century. To this end competitors should consider the archeological impact of their design, but its significance is not as great as it would be in the surrounding historic areas of the city.
Utilities and services The building would be connected to the City of Helsinki’s district heating and cooling networks, water mains, and sewer network. The entire utilities infrastructure to which the museum might be connected is available in the immediate vicinity of the competition area.
