The Office of Career Services to Host a Sweet Services Informational October 18

Booth on

SAVANNAH, Ga. - As Fall semester comes to a speady end, soon-to-be Juniors’ and Seniors’ look to bulk up their resume charm. “I’m confident in my degree knowledge, but as far as real world experience goes, I don’t think I have enough to impress future employers,” expresses up and coming Savannah State University (SSU) Junior, Matt Thompson. In resolution to these looming worries, SSU’s Office of Career Services (OCS) will be setting up an informational booth in SSU’s newly built Student Union Center cafeteria. “It’s nice to know that my University has a place where I can learn more about acquiring internship information. That’s the type of stuff I need to win in this vicious job market,” expresses Thompson. From 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., SSU’s OCS will be handing out information packets regarding how to obtain needed interships, part-time jobs, and other essential resume builders through their offered programs and services. An appointment sheet will be made available to those students who become interested in career consultations, along with a little something sweet to sweeten the long haul of their day. The Office of Career Services was created to assist students and alumni in developing, evaluating, and implementing career plans. Students will learn through appropriate programs and activities how to become active participants in their own continuing development.
