We believe learning is about connections. Waldorf’s handson approach engages students of all learning styles, allowing their natural abilities to unfold with confidence. Students connect to their creativity through the arts, support each other in learning and friendship, experience the wonder of nature, and gain the strength and skills to meet the world. Based on a nearly 100-year-old methodology, Waldorf education enjoys a long history and tradition, yet it is as fresh and relevant today as ever.

The Squamish Youth Mountain Bike Program is a community supported and driven initiative that aims to inspire our Squamish youth to ride!

With the guidance of our coaches, the SYMBP will foster long term participation through ridership, leadership, volunteerism, and education.

Used with permission of / Fox Racing.Photo: James Lissimore

Through quality coaching and instruction, with a focus on safety and fun, riders will develop their skills, confidence, and love of the sport.

Squamish Youth Mountain Bike Program Riders will work closely with our coaches to develop their mountain biking skills in a fun, supportive and save environment. Riders will be grouped according to ability and will explore trails specific to their level of riding. The program incorporates education, skill development, and knowledge in the areas of basic bike maintenance & mechanics, trail building, trail etiquette, conservation & stewardship. Please note this is not a ‘learn to bike’ program; basic mountain biking skills are required as this camp takes riding ‘off-road’ and onto the trails where we’ll find rocks, roots, loose gravel and dirt, and other obstacles. Competency riding ‘green’ level trails and riding uphill and downhill are required. Local mountain bike trails, the SORCA skills park, and the BMX track are where we ride! All riders require a helmet and fully functioning, proper fitting mountain bike. Front/back hand brakes and gears are mandatory. Registration is capped to ensure a 5:1 instructor to child ratio.
