DO YOU KNOW THE REWARDS OF BECOMING A LIFEGUARD? It pays more than double the minimum wage in BC, you don’t have to commute and it is a very transferrable job all over Canada (ie. If you move or go away to University pools are always hiring). In Squamish, we have positions that are 4-19 hrs/wk and ones that are 20-30 hrs/wk. Lots of our 4-19 hrs/wk staff start in Grade 10 and then move away to school after Grade 12 so we are always looking for new staff. If you are interested or have more questions, feel free to ask any of the lifeguard staff or email rhurford@squamish.ca .
