By SportsXpress Team It’s been a busy year for Peter Inch in the world of curling. But he wouldn’t have it any other way. The general manager of Roy Inch & Sons Heating, Air Conditioning & Plumbing has long been a supporter of curling in Canada, and has held some esteemed positions in the sport, including as a member of the Curling Canada Board. This year, Inch attended the World Curling Federation AGM meeting in Serbia, as well as the Canadian Olympic Committee fall meeting in Montreal and the spring meeting in Regina. He took part in the launch of the Northern Ontario Curling Association & Ontario Curling Association Next Generation program, and also attended the closing Banquet of this year’s Women’s Scottish Tour in Mississauga. Inch participated in the design meeting for the under 18 curling Feeder System, and attended a memorable Canadian
Men’s & Women’s Curling Championship in Stratford where history was witnessed with the event being played completely in Arena Ice and Nunavut winning its first ever matches in both men’s and women’s play. As if he wasn’t busy enough, Inch also helped open this year’s Canadian Mixed Championship in Toronto and attended the CCAA National College Curling Championship in his hometown of London. He also represented the Board at the WCF Sweeping Summit. Most recently, Inch was named Chair of the Curling Canada Board of Governors for the 2016-17 season, and will take office on Sept. 30, 2016. “I have big shoes to fill, but I’m looking forward to the 2016-17 season and continuing to work with our operational staff and our Member Associations to build our sport in Canada,” said Inch. “We had five extremely productive days
