a letter from the president Hello IIDA Tennessee Chapter Thank you for taking the time to consider renewing or becoming a Sponsor to the IIDA TN Chapter. I am excited to bring you the 2020-2021 sponsorship package that will provide support for the Tennessee Chapter statewide, including your local City Centers. You will see this sponsorship package contains a new look, new offerings, and most of all, a one time ask for your support of all of our events! Our goal this year was to bring everything to you in one package. This means asking you to determine your sponsorship level (which will include the events that level is to sponsor) and to only ask one time, upfront, for support for the entire year of events. We’re hoping that this offering will prove mutually beneficial, and really hope that you will see a value in this too. You will notice that our events are evolving and growing across the state. We are so proud to tell you that we have made great strides in our partnerships for events with AIA in East Tennessee, Nashville Civic Design Center in Nashville, and ASID among others in Memphis. We aim to provide quality events over quantity in regards to student activities at our Campus Centers, professional level offerings for those looking for more than just a CEU, advocacy and legislative learning, membership support, communication efforts, and industry relations. We are also growing our philanthropic efforts in all City Centers to give back in our communities throughout Tennessee while helping increase public awareness and knowledge of our Interior Design profession. One big announcement for our chapter - we are in the planning phases to bring IIDA TN to Chattanooga in 2020. Budgets are being set up and meetings are being planned, all in an effort to grow our Chapter to include a fourth City Center, Chattanooga. We are very excited about this! As your President, I am extremely proud of the entire Tennessee Board, their hard work, and accomplishments over the past three years. Being in a volunteer position on the Board, I have to say that this is truly a team effort. It takes great collaboration between the dedicated professionals that I am so grateful to have help in leading this Chapter to bring you these great events year after year. We are always evolving, but our goal is to aim higher no matter what. We hope that through your support and commitment to the IIDA Tennessee Chapter that you will see how your sponsorship makes an impact statewide by supporting various events and fostering a design community that would not happen otherwise. With the new package, we encourage you to ask questions and most of all - get involved! Thank you again for your support, and know that we couldn’t do this good work without you and your sponsorship!

Wendi Donahue, Assoc. IIDA President TN Chapter 2019-2020 presidentiidatn@gmail.com

Design teams comprised of members from A+D firms throughout the state are paired with manufacturer’s representatives from the interior design community. Collaborating with their sponsoring manufacturer, teams create a wearable garment fabricated using product almost entirely provided from their industry partner. Teams are given additional criteria centered around a common theme to develop their garments. A panel of judges score the final looks when the competition culminates in a fun-filled runway show.
