I hope you had a wonderful and relaxing summer. It is hard to believe Fall has returned, some of us are back in school and work, and the season's colors are changing...but first some of us are still experiencing a very hot Indian summer looking forward to cooler weather soon!

Message from Iris Hello Folks, I am sure that you all are looking forward to the exciting social event Diwali and Eid 2006.

MSADA hosted the first General meeting and get together on Sunday afternoon, September 17th. It's always a fun-packed event -- probably the only time in the year we could dress casually, get samosas with hot chutney that Madan’s wife Nirmala kindly made, and help ourselves to delicious dishes that were prepared by MSADA committee!

I have a quite tough year to find the restaurants and halls as they were fully booked. At last, I found one in Arlington, VA and have been so worked hard to plan a very impressive evening to reflect the two festivals, Diwali and Eid, on November 4th, at the SANGAN (Comfort Inn), 1211 N Glebe Road (Corner of N. Glebe Rd & Washington Blvd) Arlington, VA 22201 . A chance for you to meet up with your old friends or to make new friends!!!

Madan gave a wonderful presentation about MSADA and it’s purpose. Ramesh and Minar gave a comedy show about MSADA’s history and membership. Karunya Samuel was invited to explain about the Deaf Expo in India. If interested, please visit the www.indiadeafexpo.org

I look forward to another productive year as more members are becoming actively involved with MSADA and it’s activities. Please thoughtfully consider attending the 4rd year social event, I would personally like to see a special showing of support and interest from the membership for this event.

Here is hoping that next year we will be host another General meeting -- Those who organized it deserve a big applause! There will no news from October through December 2006. Here is wishing you all a very Happy Holidays!

See you there!
