Dear Vestnik Readers, As we head into the holiday season, we need to remember the men and women serving our country. A few months ago, our youth club sent a care package to Major Bruce Skrabanek, United States Army, who is now deployed to Afghanistan. Major Skrabanek sent a very special package back to SPJST Lodge 9, Snook Youth Club. In this package was a letter thanking the youth club for the package and along with his letter, we received a certificate and a United States Flag. The flag was flown in Afghanistan on September 11, 2011, marking the 10th anniversary of the attack on our nation. This has to be the greatest honor our youth club has received. I want to personally thank Major Skrabanek for his service to our country.

In order to show my gratitude, I decided to send a flag that was flown here in Afghanistan to symbolize the freedom that we are all over here to protect. This flag was flown on September 11, 2011, the 10-year anniver-
