SPJST honors Age 96 members Tracy Stewart received her Age 96 recognition at the April meeting of Lodge 47, Seaton. An SPJST member for 77 years, Tracy is pictured here with Johnnie Mikulastik, her brother, left, and Johnnie's wife, Helen, right. The SPJST extends its congratulations and best wishes to two of its most recent "Age 96" members, Sister Teresa (Tracy) Regmund of Lodge 39, Bryan, Texas and Sister Tracy Stewart of Lodge 47, Seaton. Both are entitled to all SPJST membership benefits with no further dues or assessments required. Teresa (Tracy) Regmund Sister Teresa Regmund was born on February 25, 1898 in Caldwell to Tom and Karoline Maly who emigrated to Caldwell from Czechoslovakia. Sister Regmund's memories span a period of grand change in our nation's history. Some of her fondest recollections are of walking to local dances with friends and of the excitement shefelt when her father let her "drive" his horse and buggy. When she was four years old, the family moved to Smetana, a farming community located eight miles west of Bryan. She was the third oldest of ten children. As such, she learned the meaning and the value of hard work early in life. Sister Teresa married Adolph Regmund on February 8, 1920 in Penelope. The couple farmed in the Smetana community until Adolph retired in 1960. He passed away in 1975. The Regmund family had three children: a son, Joe, who was killed in Korea in 1951; a daughter, Margaret Kuder, who passed away in 1989; and a daughter, Annie Mae Guillman, of Lubbock. A son-in-law, Joe L. Kuder, passed away in 1987. Other relatives include a son-inlaw, Robert Guillman of Lubbock; two grandsons, Joe Wayne Kuder of Bryan and Bruce Guillman of Lubbock. Out of Sister Regmund's nine brothers and sisters, two are still alive. They are Charlie Maly of Modesto, California and Johnny Maly of Bryan. "Tracy was always a friend and neighbor to everyone," said daughter Annie Pictured at right, great-granddaughter Lacey Kuder and grandson, Joe W. Kuder, share a moment with Teresa Regmund. Sister Regmund is a member of Lodge 39, Bryan.

"One of her fondest recollections is of the exciting way that it felt when her father let her 'drive' his horse and buggy." Guillman. "She was always willing to help however she could and her home was always open to company. "No one ever left her home without partaking of a delicious meal—or at least coffee and kolaches," she added. Tracy, who is a member of Lodge 39, Bryan, resides at Sherwood Health Care Center in Bryan where she still enjoys company, bingo and Czech Club Meetings.

Tracy Mikulastik Stewart Sister Tracy Mikulastik Stewart was born in New Tabor,. near Caldwell, on March 1, 1989 to Tomas and Terezia Cerny Mikulastik. Both of her parents were immigrants from Vizovic, Czechoslovakia. Her parents and children moved to the Seaton area, east of Temple, in 1900. Her father, who was a blacksmith, helped to organize Lodge 47, Seaton in his blacksmith shop in 1903. The blacksmith shop still stands on the family farm. Sister Stewart became a member of the SPJST in May, 1915. Prior to getting married, she attended Seaton School and was trained as a bookkeeper at Tyler Commercial College in Tyler, Texas. Sister Tracy married Lawean Stewart in 1921. For many years, the couple operated Stewart's Grocery Store in Temple. Mr. Stewart passed away in 1981. Sister Stewart's interests included doing needlework, gardening and raising beautiful flowers in her spare time—as well as finding time for her favorite pastime—fishing. Sister Stewart has one brother, Johnny Mikulastik, who still resides on the family farm at Seaton and is also a lifelong member of the SPJST and one sister, Frances Cervenka, who resides in Columbia, Missouri. One sister and one brother are deceased. Mrs. Stewart is still very independent and active and enjoys life. Once again, the SPJST congratulates both Sister Regmund and Sister Stewart and wishes them health in the future. Thanks to Annie M. Following Brother Mikeska's appointment on March 11, the Supreme Lodge set about the task to fill the position with a qualified applicant. Applicants were directed to submit their resumes and support materials to the SPJST Supreme Lodge no later than April 8, 1994.
