FROM THE EDITOR'S DESK Front Page Corrections. In this column last week, we listed those lodges not represented in the 20th Convention, dividing them into two groups, Since then, information has been received that would place 10 lodges in the second group into the first group. These are as follows: Lodge 8, Weimar; Lodge 31, Yoakum; Lodge 42, Moravia; Lodge 50, El 'Campo, Lodge 57, Gonzales; Lodge 74, Lovelady; Lodge 89, Rosebud; Lodge 90, Stamford; Lodge 122, Wallis, and Lodge 147, JOurdanton. These lodges were entitled to a delegate but for some reason did not send one. So, as a rule, their insurance should emphasize his coverage. Of course, there are exceptions to the rule. Sonic career women earn larger incomes than their husbands and need more life insurance.

Or if a wife has inherited a large estate, she may need considerable life insurance to cover taxes on it at her death. (In states with community property laws, a husband may have to pay taxes on their property if his wife dies). But "wife insurance" can be important to any family. Final expenses involved in any death are often a heavy financial burden. And the cost of replacing a wife's and mother's services to her family may be a continuing burden. She plays an important economic role merely by runing the home and rearing the children. Also, she may augment the family's cash income by helping to run a family business or holding a separate job. And a wife's death may reduce disposable income through loss of the marital deduction for tax purposes. Because of their lower mortality and longer life expectancy, women pay less for life insurance than men. Many life companies will insure a woman at, the same premium rate as a man a:ho is three years younger. Families rarely depend on young children for support. And today the chances of a child dying are small. But, after parents are sufficiently in-
