Canning Basics

Canning is an excellent way to preserve the flavors of summer all year long. Join us for a lecture and demonstration of canning. Grilling doesn’t have to be just for guys. Trying to figure your way around the grill? This class is for you! A New Backyard Barbeque Bash!

Learn a back-to-basics, from “scratch” approach to summer barbequing. We will make BBQ chicken with a tangy sauce, old-fashioned potato salad with a new twist, fluffy corn bread, a salad with fresh local greens and zesty vinaigrette, and finally, cool off with homemade vanilla bean ice cream. Farm-to-Fork Family Cooking Adventure

Have you ever wondered where your food comes from? Grab your family and friends and join us at an organic garden on the East Side of St. Paul. You’ll learn about how food is grown, harvest produce from the garden, and then prepare and eat a healthy recipe using the harvested produce. You will receive the true “farm-to-fork” experience!
