In Rebecca Moccia’s complex horizon of research three elements interweave with each other: the study of the relationship – social, cultural, philosophical, medial– between image, imagination and humanity; the observation and experimentation of narrative mechanisms and metanarratives; the reflection on the meaning of value and documentary strategies in the artistic and extra-artistic fields. These three “macro environments” of her artistic and intellectual consideration, represent the subjects of an extensive investigation, which allow continuous and necessary interferences or drifts. They also offer the artist the possibility to give multiple declinations to the consequent results, ranging from sculpture to video, from photography to performance, from drawing to installation. However, it is not here that the value of Rebecca Moccia’s work is exhausted.
