¡Cine Magnífico! celebrates Spanish and Latin American culture by presenting some of the best cinema works in a weekendlong program. The subject matter runs the gamut from comedies, action flicks and romances to documentary films and dramatic masterpieces. Some of the riskiest and most innovative films of recent years will be included. ¡Cine Magnífico! is organized by the Instituto Cervantes, the National Hispanic Cultural Center and the UNM Latin American & Iberian Institute so as to be at the forefront of the movement to increase cultural opportunities for the entire New Mexico community and to bring Latinos and non-Latinos together to share common experiences through film.
WHEN & WHERE
Jameson Notodofilmfest is an online festival of short films lasting three minutes and 30 seconds. It was established in 2001 after an idea from filmmaker Javier Fesser who had a vision of supporting young audiovisual producers and breaking the barriers of film production and distribution. Since then, it has received more than 13,000 original films from 38 countries and brought together more than 60 million viewers. For the first edition of the festival in the United States, the public will be able to enjoy the winners from the 13th edition of the festival and a selection of the best shorts that have stood out throughout the many years of Jameson Notodofilmfest.
