esde el comienzo, el este de Londres ha estado a la cabeza de la campaña olímpica del Reino Unido, con la creación del Parque Olímpico, que le dio nueva vida a un terreno baldío de 2,5 kilómetros cuadrados. Junto con dar cabida a los mejores en atletismo, nado sincronizado, jockey, básquetbol y waterpolo, el parque ofrece unos cultivados jardines, de fácil acceso a través de las renovadas estaciones de metro –o Tube, como le dicen los ingleses– de West Ham y Stratford. rom the start, East London has been at the forefront of the UK’s Olympic campaign, with the creation of a multi-venue Olympic Park breathing new life into a square mile of ragged wasteland.
