MICHEL DE HEY What does playing at Space mean to you as an artist? For me, Space has so many great memories. I have been part of some great nights as a clubber and I had some fantastic nights as a DJ. For me it is extra special as I was one of the first guest DJs to play for Carl Cox in his first year at Space. After playing my set I got invited to be part of the agency that represented him, Safehouse Management and I am still part of the crew! Many of the nights I played for Carl at Space on the Terrace or inside have been highlights for me throughout the years. What do you think is the difference between Space and other clubs? Like many clubs, each one has its own specific story. I think the unique thing about Space is the outside terrace and the history of it. Growing from an after-party club into a huge club for day and night. You have not seen Ibiza if you have not been to Space! Describe the club in one word. Rocket or rocking! What are you doing at the moment? I’ve just finished two remixes, I’m preparing for a tour of South America, new release on EC Records is coming in two weeks and right after, a new HEY! track with Rauwkost. This is a killer track remixed by Taras Van De Voorde and Rino Cerrone. —— ¿Qué supone para ti como artista pinchar en Space? Para mí, Space guarda grandes recuerdos. He formado parte de algunas grandes noches como clubber y he tenido noches fantásticas como DJ. Para mí es más especial aún ya que fui uno de los primeros DJs invitados para pinchar para Carl Cox en su primer año en Space. Después de pinchar mi sesión, fui invitado a formar parte de la agencia que lo representa, Safehouse Management ¡y todavía soy parte del equipo! A lo largo de los años puedo destacar muchas de las noches que he pinchado para Carl en la Terraza de Space o en el interior. ¿Cual crees que es la diferencia entre Space y otros clubs? Al igual que muchos clubs, cada uno tiene su propia historia específica. Creo que lo que tiene Space único es su terraza exterior y su historia. Creciendo a partir de un club de ‘after’ hasta llegar a ser un enorme club durante el día y la noche. ¡No has visto Ibiza si no has estado en Space! Describe el club en una palabra. ‘¡Rocket o rocking!’ ¿Qué tienes ahora entre manos? Justo acabo de terminar dos remixes, y estoy preparando un tour por América del Sur, un nuevo lanzamiento en EC Records llegará en dos semanas, y justo después un nuevo tema ‘HEY! con Rauwkost. CHARLIE HEDGES One of the most heard voices in the UK with her morning show on Kiss FM, Charlie Hedges is beautiful, fun, hardworking ... and last but not least, also a DJ. She plays what she defines as “electro-house with a twist”, and is slowly making her way into the more recognized festivals and clubs worldwide. Besides, her track “Club Mix” appears on the triple album We Just Got Hotter released by Pukka Up Records in July. Charlie is earning her reputation the hard way, as she doesn’t stop for a minute; she started working full time while pursuing her studies in journalism, and now combines her work as a journalist with her career as a DJ. Without a doubt, a full-on lady. —— Una de las voces más escuchadas del Reino Unido con su Morning Show en Kiss FM. Guapa, divertida, trabajadora... y por si fuera poco, también DJ.
