It is a nurturing, supportive environment where diversity is celebrated and students find future colleagues, caring mentors and inspiring role models. Students come from virtually every state and a dozen foreign countries, and over 250 undergraduate institutions. The enrollment of 1,000+ students is about equally divided between women and men. In the most recent entering class, minorities make up 47 percent and students report proficiency in more than two dozen languages. In recent years, Southwestern’s student body has included the highest representation of African American students and second highest of Latino/Hispanic students of any California law school.
