The government does not automatically seize the assets of a person who dies without leav‑ ing a will. When men and women die without a will, they leave what is known as intestacy. Should a person die with no next of kin, then the deceased’s assets will end up under gov‑ ernment control. When a person with family dies without a will, then a formula is used to allo‑ cate those assets. While this ensures a person’s assets will not go to the government, it does not ensure that a person’s assets will necessar‑ ily be distributed how they had hoped or in‑ tended. This highlights the importance men and women must place on creating a will while they are alive and updating that will as they see fit throughout their life.

The piano was invented by Italy’s Bartolomeo Cristofori in the late 17th century and was designed to be a “harp‑ sichord that plays both softly and loudly.” Cris‑ tofori was a harpsichord maker and understood the workings of this type of instrument. Cristofori built only about 20 pi‑ anofortes before he died at the age of 75. How‑ ever, his design lived on and was replicated by other builders who put their own unique spins on the original concept. The piano remains a popular instrument among musicians and music afficionados to this day.
