MAKE THAT TURN NOW
By RICKI FULLERIn one of her books, Florence Scovel Shinn made very powerfully encouraging statements. She said something which can, prayerfully, help people see themselves in GOD’s light. Ms. Shinn said: “The Christ in me is risen! I, now, fulfill my destiny… I give thanks for my whirlwind success. I am awake to my good… My power is GOD’s Power, and is irresistible… There is no competition on the spiritual plane. What is rightfully mine is given me under Grace… There are no lost opportunities in the Divine Mind. As one door shut, another door opened… I make friends with hindrances, and every obstacle becomes a stepping stone. All lack, limitation and failure are wiped out of my consciousness. All enemy thoughts are wiped out. I am victorious.”
For Christians, those words seem to implore us to really take stock of what we believe about GOD, and about His relationship with us. Would you agree that it has been made abundantly clear to us, through reading and studying the Bible, that we are special to GOD? His Word has shared with us in both the Old and New Testaments that He has a plan for each of our lives that includes prospering/flourishing us (Jeremiah 29:11-13; Ephesians 1:3-14)
Therefore, the question on the table of our minds might very well be – what do I believe? What am I demonstrating by my behaviors that I believe? Why do I get so down and depressed when things do not go my own devised ways which causes me to give in to the world’s definition of ‘failure’ and shame? As best each of we can, let’s practice the attitude that Ms. Shinn wrote about.
It is, now, time for Christ-believers/followers to turn away from the world’s influences (Romans 12:2) Instead, we are always invited toturntoourGOD
allowing Him to guide us into living the victory He has already given us (“But we thank God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!” I Corinthians 15:57 ERV). Upon recognizing and appreciating this gracious and powerful victory GOD has granted us, we are encouraged to work toward and abide by I Corinthians 15:58 “So, my dear brothers and sisters, stand strong. Don’t let anything change you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord. You know that your work in the Lord is never wasted.”
Plainly explained, beloveds, there is no failure in GOD! According to Ephesians 1:1-14 and II Peter 1:3-4, He has transmitted love, victory, and success to us through Jesus Christ. And, it is all protected and freely communicated to us through Holy Spirit!
While determining to turn away from negative failure thoughts, take a few moments to bless your soul by listening to Dorothy Norwood’s and Marvin Sapp’s songs entitled “Victory Is Mine,” and “Never Would Have Made It.” Then, tell GOD you see how He’s been there for you all the time!
Thank GOD! Hallelujah!

“So God created mankind in his own image”
