Seeing It for What It Is
By RICKI FULLERTo overcome something suggests one is successful at dealing with an issue-problem, emotion, or, even a person. Other synonyms for overcome-overcoming are to defeat, prevail over (be victorious over), subdue (bring a feeling or a person under control).
In dealing with failure let’s look, particularly, at what subduing it entails. We have heard that, to some degree, it is advantageous that Christians experience failure. The general consensus regarding the ‘good’ value attached to failure points toward the resultant growth that’s attained-experienced by Christ-followers while in the throes of failure.
Often, it is touted that Christians undergo deeper recognition of their frailties in life when they do not readily refer to, or call upon, GOD’s Will, Guidance and Provision(s) in every circumstance/ situation of import in their lives. Proverbs 3:6 is seemingly an appropriate Scriptural reference for this statement: “With every step you take, think about what he wants, and he will help you go the right way.” (ERV)
The real ‘goodness’ of perceived failure is that once you/Christian realize whatever your error is/was you, then, prayerfully proceed through repenting of your delusional thoughts and behaviors. Such consciousness-realizationunderstanding gently causes you to turn back to GOD believing Him to be your primal-first Source of success. In repenting and asking forgiveness, you are led to joyfully and assuredly declare by your actions He Is your absolute source Whom you approach for success and defense in whatever confronts you!
Upon giving your cares/concerns to The Lord, you learn/see that GOD works those various cares/concerns out to His glory, and to your good as cited in Romans 8:28. Let’s meditate a bit on such great endowment of GOD’s good will that is transmitted to us as we realize-obey-appreciate His Guidance. Gleefully imbibe-consider a portion of the lyrics of the song “Jesus Can Work It Out by Dr. Charles G. Hayes: “I turned it all over to the Lord, He worked it out… Jesus can work it out, if you let Him… That problem that I had, Just couldn’t seem to solve; I tried and I tried, Just got deeper involved; So, I turned it over to Jesus; I stopped worrin about it, I gave it over to the Lord, He worked it out… That burden that I bore, Had me wondering how much more… That habit that I had, I just couldn’t seem to break, I prayed and I prayed, Don’t let it be too late. I gave it over to the Lord… I stopped worrin about it, I gave it over to the Lord, He worked it out… I’ve got to let you know, From a long time ago, God’s been good to me, Everybody can see, He’s never let me down, He’s always around; My back up against the wall, all I had to do was call…”
Seeing it for what it is by telling GOD about everything assures comfort and success throughout your life’s journey (I Peter 5:67). Try Him, and see!

“So God created mankind in his own image”
