Matters of the Heart When it comes to matters of the heart, most of us instantly think of our relationships, our marriage, family and health, but rarely does one think about self love. Self love always seems to take the back burner for many individuals. This can be a sad truth for some, and yet "self love" is the "one love" that is most important. Without it we are unable to fully experience true love and compassion. We find we are lost inside and have difficulty finding and focusing on happiness despite what might be right there waiting for us. Now we all have our ups and downs just like everyone else, and, in truth, many of us are not in a state of "Loving the Self" all the time. It's important to allow yourself to feel whatever emotion you are experiencing; honoring them. Love and accept these feelings, and work on transforming them instead. While trying to change your attention to something more positive, it's important to stop all behaviors and thoughts that would be considered self-sabotaging. No name calling on yourself. No Acts of Self Hate. You must stop beating yourself up emotionally if you are wanting to shift your perspective. Just start by accepting yourself for who you are. That opening allows you to experience more love, more peace, more bliss. Remember to not judge yourself through any of this process. Like everyone, you are going to have good days and bad days. By choosing to change your perspective and work on your self esteem, you are starting the healing process, and laying down a new foundation for wellness and transformation.

Establishing Your Self Worth Since much of our feelings about our selves and how we receive love reflects on how much "Self Worth" we carry, it's important to first begin by establishing where you are, as far as "loving the self" is concerned. For most individuals, our self worth was created many years ago when we were a child. Whatever you had experienced may be a direct link to how you feel about yourself today. With that being said, that may indicate that additional work may be required to help move through the many layers of the self in order to fully heal. Just go with the flow, and give yourself permission to move through this process at your own pace, with ease and grace.
