The Southington DriveIn, 935, Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike, has released its movie lineup for the 2012 summer season. Movies are shown Fridays or Saturdays beginning at sunset, gates open at 6 p.m. There is a cost to attend. Escape To Witch Mountain will be on Saturday, Aug. 4. Music on the Green Music on the Green takes place Wednesday evenings over the summer until Aug. 29, Thursday if it rains, on the Southington Town Green from 7 to 9 p.m. Live music and a car show are featured every week for free. The Kiwanis Club of Southington will sponsor its 35th annual Robert E. McCormack Golf tournament on Wednesday, Aug. 1, at the Southington Country Club. Registration begins at 8:15 a.m. Tournament is scramble format with a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start. Hole-inone prizes will be offered on all par 3 holes and the seventh hole. There is a cost per golfer which includes green fees, cart, lunch, beverages on the course, and a banquet at the Manor Inn, 1636 Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike.
