Cancer Survivors’ Day The Palladino Family Cancer Center at MidState Medical Center will hold its annual Cancer Survivors’ Day on Sunday, Sept. 9, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Hubbard Park, Meriden. The day is dedicated to honoring and celebrating lives of cancer survivors. For more information or to regis-

Cancer support group The Hospital of Central Connecticut will launch a free support group for women with any type of gynecologic cancer in September. The group – open to women statewide – will be facilitated by Maureen Bracco, APRN, and Cheryl Holmes, ovarian cancer survivor. The group will meet the second Monday of each month from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the hospital’s New Britain General campus, 100 Grand St., New Britain. Upcoming dates are Sept. 10, Oct. 8, Nov. 12, and Dec. 10. Registration is requested and can be made by calling (860) 224-5299. Free parking is provided in the garage next to the hospital’s main entrance.
