Halloween costume parade

The Village of Plantsville Association will host a Halloween costume parade on Thursday, Oct. 25, at 6:30 p.m. The parade will begin at the overhead Rails to Trails sign near the corner of Summer and Cowles Streets and end near Zingarella’s restaurant. Families are encouraged to dress and walk together.

Howl-ween party

Pack Tracks Country Club, 1177 West St., will host a “Howlween” party on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Owners and pets can dress up to win prizes for best costume along with games and treats. There will also be treat donations to Northern Bound Rescue.

Southington Drive-in The Southington Drive-In, 935 Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike, is having a Halloween Festival which begins at 2 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 27. There will be a haunted hayride, a hay climb, touch-a-truck with Southington Fire Vol. Co. 1, bring a carved pumpkin for judging, dress up in a Halloween costume, listen to live music by Hard Water, face painting by Valentine the Clown, and trunk or treating. The public can participate in the trunk or treating by decorating a trunk and offering candy to the trick-or-treaters. There will be a Halloween double-feature of Monster House at 6 p.m. and Halloween at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27. There is a cost to attend.
