Making the Arts Fun for Everyone! Whenever you see the Sensory-Friendly umbrella symbol, you know that the event or performance is specially designed and adapted for individuals with Sensory Processing and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

Miami-Dade County’s Department of Cultural Affairs is delighted to provide accessible arts experiences through its All Kids Included (AKI) initiative. AKI provides funding, ideas, programs and resources so that all children— those with disabilities and without—can fully participate in the arts. Here’s how:

Designed with new audiences and visitors in mind, we’ve also created Going to the Show and Going to the Museum. These kid-friendly guides help parents and educators explain what to expect at a live performance or when visiting a museum. You can view both online at www.miamidadearts.org For free printed copies or classroom posters, please call 305.375.4634
