HOGS IN THE CITY Chris Monhof

Southern Outdoor Magazine Columnist Jager Pro

We were called by Animal Control on the morning of April 13th, 2016, to investigate a report of hogs damaging a yard in Columbus, GA. Upon arrival at the address, we documented the damage of what appeared to be several hogs rooting in the yard, next to a wooded creek. We located the avenue of approach, the hogs were using to enter the yard. Based on the avenue of approach, we decided to establish a bait site in between the open gate, to act as an existing funnel for our trap site. The bait site consisted of hand baiting with whole corn. On the 14th of April at 10:48 PM, I received a picture from the JAGER PRO ICE camera, showing the hogs had found the bait site.
