On the evening of Friday, Sept. 7, families, faculty, staff, and friends of Immaculate Conception Grade School (ICGS) gathered at Wild Meadows Trace at the Illinois Prairie Path for the 2nd Annual ICGS Marcia May “Light the Knight” Fun Run. Sponsored by the ICGS Parents’ Club, the event took place for the first time last year, just as long-time beloved ICGS teacher Marcia May lost her battle with cancer. This year, more than 350 participants as well as members of May’s family joined together for the onemile walk or three-mile run in her honor. Many raffle items were donat-

ed by local Elmhurst merchants. The fun run was sponsored by Elmhurst Dermatology, Guaranteed Rate (John Noldan), Hauert Law

Office, Northwestern Mutual (Chad & Physical Therapy. The fun run/walk generated close McQuade), The Schiller Team/@ Properties (Carrie Pikulik and Amy to $11,000 for the ICGS Parents’ Schiller), and Olympic Chiropractic Club.
