Village gears up for LibertyFest on July 4th
Funk Circus, featuring party dance music. At 9:30 p.m., fireworks will be launched from the Public Works building. The Village wishes to remind residents and visitors that parking is available in and around Redmond Park. Handicapped parking is located in the lot of the John Street Rink, while space is available. General parking lots will be located off Jefferson and George Streets. There are also side streets nearby that allow parking. REMINDER: No outside alcohol or grills permitted at this event.
Bensenville welcomes MTR Truck Center
Bensenville welcomed MTR Truck Center to the neighborhood last week with a ribbon cutting celebration on Friday, June 14. The new 12,000-square-foot facility is located at 910 County Line Road and is the new home for the sales department, parts department and additional space for servicing vehicles. The MTR Truck Center prides itself on being a family-owned and operated business. The Village of Bensenville presents the July 4th LibertyFest! Come celebrate Independence Day. This celebration of America’s birthday is full of family fun and great times for everyone. Following the July 4th parade, come out to Redmond Park for games, events, music and food. LibertyFest is featuring Taste of Towns with some of the best menu offerings from the area being served all day long. **Grills at Redmond Park are only allowed in “designated grilling areas” The Bensenville 4th of July Parade begins at 10 a.m. at 12 South Center St . in the Town Center. The route will travel east on Green St., then south on York to Jefferson, turning east, finishing at Redmond Recreation Complex in Redmond Park on Jefferson St. Temporary street signs will be hung in honor of Major General Nathanael Greene, York Town, and Thomas Jefferson, to make Bensenville’s 4th of July celebration one of the most patriotic parades in America. 12 – 4 p.m. – Free Public Skate at The Edge Ice Arena, 735 E. Jefferson St. (Free skate rental for residents.) 12 – 4 p.m. – Free Public Swim at Water’s Edge, 545 John St. At The Redmond Recreation Complex… Food and beer, available for purchase from local vendors and a beer tent hosted by Bella Vista Banquets. There will be pony rides, mobile video games and much more. Live entertainment will take place at 4:30 p.m. by the Alternative Method Band who will perform Pop and Rock music; at 7:30 p.m. by Libido
