A 57-year-old Fox Lake woman reported missing and endangered by her son Friday was found dead at Nippersink Lake the following day, according to the Fox Lake Police Department. “(We) are spearheading an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a 57-year-old Fox Lake woman,” a news release issued by the department states. Mary Anton was reported missing by her son later that evening when she was not at her home in the 100 block of Arthur Street when he checked on her. “Her son told investigators that he went to her home to check on her, but discovered that she was not there and that her dog was missing as well,” the release stated. Following dialogue with neighbors, authorities determined Anton was last seen at about noon Friday, and that her cellular phone and purse were still inside the home. The next day, authorities reported her missing, placing a missing/endan-
