MIS7771 Practicum in World Religions A practicum which combines academic study and field experience in locations where practitioners of world religions are found. 3 semester hrs. P/F.

MIS7870 Studies in Contextualization Theory The study and practice of contextualization theory will enable the crosscultural change agent to minister effectively in the midst of cultural differences without compromising biblical standards and yielding to syncretism. Case studies will be utilized. 3 semester hrs.

MIS7901 Practicum in American Religious Groups A combination of academic study and field experience conducted in selected settings among centers of American religious groups including Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, the Unification Church, Unity, Christian Scientists, and Hare Krishnas. 3 semester hrs. Prerequisites: MIS 6760 or MIS 7510 or by permission of instructor. PASS/FAIL COURSE.

MIS7930 Practicum in Orality A field study designed to develop the student's ability to communicate the truth of Scripture for those who cannot read it for themselves, including field experience in an oral learning setting. Prerequisite: MIS6530. 3 semester hrs. to be scheduled on an individual basis. Contact the Associate Dean for Proclamation Studies for scheduling.

MIS7961 Practicum in North American Missions Academic study and field missionary experience in selected North American areas. Participants utilize their theological, biblical, and ministry training in the context with specific involvement in missions under supervision. 3 semester hrs. PASS/FAIL COURSE.

MIS7971 Field Seminar in International Missions A combination of academic study and field experience in selected countries outside the United States. The seminar is offered to middlers, seniors, and graduate students in cooperation with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention for one semester or 12 weeks during the summer. 8 semester hrs.
