MINNICH Founded in 1968, Minnich Manufacturing will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2018. The company will display a wide range of solutions for road, airport runway and general construction. Among them will be the A-1 Series of versatile single-gang, on-grade dowel pin drills. Contractors can configure all four Minnich A-1 Series models to drill four ways - horizontally, vertically, into a wall or six inches from a corner - eliminating the need to purchase additional equipment or conversion kits. Plus, the A-1 Series makes repositioning easy with the units that can fit into 48-, 36-, 30- or 24-in cutouts with the wheels on. All models in the lineup feature adjustable drill height and depth. The Minnich A-1 Series drills are not only versatile, but they are also operator-friendly and low-maintenance. Pistol-grip controls are simple for operators to use and minimise dry firing, which can lead to increased maintenance and repair costs and a shorter drill lifespan. Operators also can appreciate a conveniently placed foothold directly under the handle for increased leverage when drilling each hole. Routine maintenance for A-1 Series drills is quick and easy: simply tighten all bolts daily, and ensure that the drill is properly lubricated. For mainline paving, a block isolator offers better shear spring rate, less area for concrete build-up and a greater rubber-to-steel bond area. This translates to less end-of-day cleanup time, reduced transfer of vibration to the paver and less wear on the isolators. A two-isolator setup can fit into tighter areas for barrier wall moulds. The hydraulic hose features an abrasion-resistant coating to help reduce vibrator failure. A specially designed Minnich three-gear motor provides hydrostatic balance for longer motor life and greater starting torque. n
