Summer Camps Jr Rec Camp — Completing Grades: K-6 August 7-11 & August 14-18 This is a wonderful twist on traditional day camp. Packed with recreation, sports, arts & crafts, and nature programs, there is never a dull moment. This activitybased camp is the perfect blend of choice activities, age group rotations, and the ever popular”Themed Ultimates”. The program fee includes: all activities, field trips, lunch, and snack. This is also a Vermont State Licensed day camp. Child Care Resource funding may be used for this program, if families qualify.

Lil’Tykes Camp — Ages: 4-5 August 7-11 & August 14-18 This camp provides 4-5 year olds the perfect setting for their first day camp experience. New adventures abound as our youngest campers will have opportunities to socialize and play cooperatively in a camp of children their own age. New for this year, lunch will be provided.

On The Go Camp — Grades: 5-8 August 14-18

Join our Adventure Staff and challenge the great outdoors in these one week camps, full of Outdoor Ultimate Recreation. Each week will include hiking, biking, kayaking, teambuilding and a special trip. The cooperative planning of the campers and counselors determines the activities. No two weeks are the same!

Fabulous Field Trips — Grades: 2-6 August 14-18 Come join our summer staff for a fun-filled week of field trips. Each day will begin with a group challenge before heading out by bus to a special location. There will be 5 unique trips, no two days will be the same! This will be a fun-filled week to wind down the summer.

Adult Programs Berry Picking — 55+ August 15 | 9 am-1 pm Our morning will start off with breakfast at a local restaurant and then, we will head to Charlotte Berry Farm to pick blueberries. Breakfast is included. Blueberries are on your own.


Lake Champlain Maritime Museum — 55+

August 31 | 9:30 am-3 pm Put on your walking shoes as we explore the museum in Vergennes. The Lake Champlain Maritime Museum uses the active discovery and care of Lake Champlain’s maritime heritage and environment as a launching pad to inspire life-long learning through hands-on, mind-on experiences. After our visit at the museum, we will enjoy a delicious lunch at the Red Mill Restaurant.

This publication is intended to keep South Burlingtonians updated as to all the exciting things happening in the city, to include a comprehensive Recreation and Parks catalogue beginning on page 9. Be sure to check it out, as we are offering over 25+ new programs this season. In an effort to keep our community current, we will now be publishing and mailing out SoBuLife three times per year. While we don’t have specific dates at this point, the general calendar will be as follows: •

Late January ( to include winter programming and summer camp guide)

Mid May ( to include all summer activities, programs and events as well as youth fall soccer)

Early September ( to include all fall programing, special events and holiday celebrations)

New Website to Launch Mid-August! We are thrilled to announce that we are currently under construction for a new website, which will launch August 21st. We hope the new stream-lined look allows for greater ease while navigating. Rest assured that our current registration platform will remain unchanged, so there will be no lapse in program availability.
