We have a tremendous line up - tribute bands, stand-up comedy, movies, Drama, Folk evenings, not to mention wall-to-wall Christmas shows throughout December. Henson), Dorothy Vaughan (Octavia Spencer) and Mary Jackson (Janelle Monáe) who serve as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit, a stunning achievement that galvanized the world A complete change of pace on 15th September - LDN Wrestling live events cele-

Our final show in September is a firm favourite at Hanger Farm - Purple Zeppelin on September 30th. They blow the roof off every time we have them, so we couldn’t wait to invite them back again with their New Show! This time, the first set is played 'Unplugged' on acoustic instruments, comprising well known songs from both bands. Then, in the second set, they plug in for all the classic hits. UK’s TOP STEELY DAN tribute return to Hanger farm In the professional rock music world it is almost impossible to find an artist that doesn’t admire or admit to being influenced by the music of Steely Dan. So don’t miss this rare chance to catch the band which in our opinion captures them better than any other. All long-time fans of the iconic USA band, Steely Scam consists of some of Southampton’s most illustrious musicians in Pete Smith (guitar/vocals), Simon Tilley (drums/vocals), Ray Drury (keyboards), Bob Philips (bass/lead vocals), and son of Pete, Chris Smith on guitar & vocals. “He’s better than me” says his dad, “but don’t tell him I said so!” They are joined on stage for the night by the superb ‘Division Horns’ brass sec-

tion and the fabulous Odette Adams (catch up with Odette at www.musicbyodette.co.uk) on vocals and percussion, you can expect to hear polished recreations of all your favourite Dan tracks, played with outstanding attention to detail. Covering all the classic Dan material from Do It Again to Jack of Speed, Bodhisattva to Doctor Wu, Steely Scam is a must for all Dan fans and music lovers.

Far more than yet another ‘Tribute’ band, Steely Scam is a showpiece for the cool, complex and intellectual music of Steely Dan. If you only get to see one tribute band this year, do yourself a favour - make it this one!
