Telephone Interface / Alarm Dialler Gx-TEL The G1-TEL / G2-TEL / G7-TEL multipurpose interface card builds a bridge between Intercom networks and telephone networks or pagers. Every interface card may be configured for one of three possible modes: Telephone mode: The Intercom stations can call any desired telephone number. Conversely, the Intercom stations can also be called from any telephone. In addition all Intercom functions can be activated via the DTMF keypad of the remote telephone, e.g. All Calls, Group Calls, Door Calls with after-dialling for door opening, etc.

quences. The called telephone receives a voice message identifying the calling station by means of integrated, userprogrammable speech storage (up to 100 different messages). The telephone can talk to the caller and, if necessary, activate remote access functions, e.g. open a door. Pager mode: To call pagers made by different manufacturers from any Intercom station. The telephone interface is connected to the telephone interface of the pager system. The output protocol (order of the digits) can be adapted to suit the different paging systems.

Auto dialler mode (alarm dialler): Calls and Call Requests from the Intercom central initiate predefined dialling se1.

Functions BASIC FUNCTIONS

AUTO DIALLER MODE

The analogue Telephone Interface can be used for any one of the following functions:

• The Auto Dialler Mode is used for transfer of Intercom calls and input messages (central control calls) to predefined telephone numbers.

1.

Auto Dialler Mode

2.

PABX Mode (Telephone mode)

3.

Pager Mode

• It is also possible to dial from any telephone into the Intercom Server.

GE 100 GE 200 GE 700

G-TEL

Auto dialler public telemode phone net

• Intercom functions can be carried out with the DTMF keyboard of the telephone. Telephone numbers / Dialling sequences • The telephone numbers and the order, in which the telephone numbers shall be dialled, can be programmed (8 telephone numbers, 8 dialling sequences with 15 entries each). The dialling sequences are selected via inputs.

PABX mode

public telephone net

Operation at the telephone • The call is accepted by entering a 1- to 4-digit code (standard #). A call request has to be accepted with # a second time. • Speech messages can be interrupted with * (loudspeaking call) or # (call request), but each message has to be listened to at least once.

SOS

Pager mode

Pager central

• With software until Pro 04.6 * had to be pre-dialled for after dialling functions during a conversation (e.g. *1 for door opening, *7 for microphone mute). With software from Pro 04.7 onwards no pre-dialling is necessary. • A conversation is cancelled with #. • Simplex operation: pressing the * button toggles talk/listen modes.

TELEPHONE MODE • An authorised Intercom station calls the telephone interface (with the calling number of the interface or with a 1- to 4-digit code). Afterwards any telephone number can be dialled. • By calling the telephone number of the interface, any telephone can call into the Intercom Server. • An optional 1- to 4-digit password can be defined for the telephone (standard #). • With the DTMF keyboard of the telephone Intercom functions can be carried out.

PAGER MODE • Radio pagers can be called from any authorised Intercom station. • 2-, 3- or 4-digit dialling to the pagers. • Simple connection to the telephone interface of the pager system (2 wires). • The output protocol (order of the digits) can be adapted to the different paging systems (also ESPA protocol). • Transfer of call requests from an SA 101 central control desk to pager.

Speech storage • As information for the calling Intercom station and for the telephone different speech messages are available. • The calling Intercom station receives a “Calm down message“ (e.g. “Your call has been acknowledged and will be answered shortly“). • The telephone receives a “Location message“ after lifting the receiver as information where the call comes from. This message should be individually recorded (e.g.: “Parking North“). • If the initiated calls are call requests, the telephone receives a “Call request message“ (e.g. “Calls: two, emergency calls: three“). • For each call mode (conversation, call or emergency call) and for each Intercom station additional “Individual messages“ can be defined (e.g.: “Call from station one-zero-five“). • The telephone interface is delivered with standard audio files for all call types, but it is also possible to record your own messages. With software from Pro 04.7D onwards it is possible to record messages at an Intercom station. WAV-files recorded at a PC can be loaded with a software package available at your dealer. • Speech storage capacity: 100 messages, total of 800 seconds.
