BIG KAISER’s Workholding Solution for Uneven Parts BIG KAISER is accelerating workholding technology to match the level of the ever-more popular and accessible multi-axis machining. The UNIFLEX system is composed of a clamping ball and collar that are attached to the underside of a part or fixture. The clamping ball is a hardened steel ball of the same type found in heavy duty industrial bearings. This material prevents peening or denting of its surface with normal use. This system provides vibration-free holding of the part when multiple clamping is used and has low-wear against tools. It also can stabilize the workpieces without obstructing access to the top and sides of the part.

Renishaw, a world leading manufacturer of coordinate measuring machine (CMM) equipment, announces the SFP2 – a new, improved surface finish measurement probe – for use with its REVO 5-axis measurement system on CMMs. The SFP2 probe increases the surface finish measurement ability of the REVO system, which offers a multi-sensor capability providing touch-trigger, high-speed tactile scanning and non-contact vision measurement on a single CMM.

The KASTOmicut A 2.6 is a versatile swing-frame band saw for workshop use and is intelligently equipped to permit efficient, largely unstaffed operation. It features high cutting accuracy and cutting quality, plus excellent value for money. The KASTOmicut A 2.6 is specially designed for cutting tubes, sections and solid materials to length and for mitre cutting. Its cutting range extends to 260 mm for round stock and 310 x 260 mm for flat stock. Mitre cuts are possible on both sides from -45 to +60 degrees. The mitre angle is continuously adjustable, as is the cutting speed, which can be set from 20 to 110 metres per minute.
