One Mr. Moorthy of Annai Bio Fertilizers from Madurai city who had a lot of dealers in Sourashtra Region, Gujarat, there helped the delegation to have a successful sojourn in meeting the Sourashtrians. He was introduced by Mr.T.R.Mohanram of Vignesh Graphics. His office people in Ahmedabad, Rajot, Jhunagut helped them to locate the cultural activities and religious rites followed by the fellow Sourashtrians there. The delegates had the pleasure and privilege of contacting in person Prof. Dr. Kamalesh Joshipura, the present Vice-Chancellor of Saurashtra University. During the discussion the following points were brought to his notice: 1. Migration theory 2. Learning and teaching of Sourashtri language 3. Mutual exchange of cultural activities 4. Research at academic level Following this meeting the Vice-Chancellor said that there must be an organized Cell/Centre for such a study so that the Saurashttra University could inter act with it and see that the study could be completed successfully on the points raised above. Soon after the return of the delegation, it was decided to institute RISHI (Research Institute of Sourashtra Heritage and Immigration). In August 2008 the Vice - Chancellor Prof. Dr .Joshipura invited the delegates to visit Rajkot again so that a mutual understanding on follow up action could be made. entrepreneurs to our country, are Pasis, Gujaratis, and Marwaris. Sourashtra Entrepreneurs in Madurai have Dr.K.P.Ganeshan, Reader, contributed significantly to the exports in textiles Dr.B.Anbazhagan,Asst. Professor, created job opportunity. Their Entrepreneurial Dept of B.B.A., skills had been admired. Studies on the background of Entrepreneurs suggest that they tend to be first born, from ethnic and religious minority groups, with substantial formal education, with fathers who were self start-up activities. Presently the Sourashtra students even after graduation in engineering or science hesitate to enter into their own venture. This leads to lack of Sourashtrian Entrepreneurs in Madurai. Hence a study will be made on the following objectives: 1. To identify the profile of students. 2. To exhibit the Entrepreneurial competencies among them. 3. To illustrate their interest in enterprising and its correlates. 4
