introduction 介紹 INTRODUÇÃO SOUND & IMAGE CHALLENGE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL 2017, has achieved the desired growth, providing us the necessary stability to be one of the most important International short film cinema festivals held annually in Macau. We would like to thank all governmental and private institutions, associations and social media, friends and public, for the unconditional support since the launch of SOUND & IMAGE CHALLENGE in 2010, as a local audiovisual competition, on to becoming an international short film festival in 2015. This year, we are presenting 44 short films and 6 music videos, which are the official selection of the pre-selection Judges of the SHORTS International Competition, constituted by Coke Riobóo, Detsky Graffam, Hong Heng Fai, José Bautista, Julien Dykmans, and Naya Kuu. The Panel of Judges for VOLUME - International Music Video Competition, is constituted by Miguel Khan, Ray Granlund and leading judge, Lok Kong. The Grand jury is constituted by Cheng Liang, João Francisco Pinto and leading judge, Zhang Zeming. On 6th December, the Festival opens up with the screening of the fiction documentary “The Disinherited” by Spanish filmmaker Laura Ferrés, followed by Portuguese fiction “Summer Saturn” by Mónica Lima, and then five other selected short films subsequently. Thanks to the collaboration with CURTAS - International Festival of Vila do Conde, curated by Miguel Dias, Director

and Organiser of the festival, made it possible to showcase in Macau, seven winning short films of high quality from 2016 and 2017. The nominated films of the SHORTS International competition will be screened after the expanded cinema, where the audience is invited to take part in voting for the Audience Award of the Festival. The screenings of Documentaries, Animations and Fictions, will be held in Dom Pedro V Theatre between 6th and 8th December. The films are subtitled in both English and Chinese. There will be Talks with invited Directors in between screening sessions, from both overseas and Macau, together with Pre-selection Jury and Grand Jury; MasterClasses with Julien Dykmans from Belgium and Zhang Zeming from Hong Kong. The nominated music videos of the VOLUME International competition will be screened in the evening on 7th December. We invite the public to enjoy free admission to the Festival. The Awards Ceremony will be held on 8th December, at 19:00. The winning films and all finalists will be screened at Cinema Alegria (Wing Lok) on 9th and 10th December 2017, admission is free. Last but not least, we hope every short film enthusiast would feel the vision of the filmmakers, getting a glimpse of their genius and inner world, delighting the viewer in every way possible.

《聲音與影像大比拼國際影展2017》今年的發展如預期般成長，亦為我們提供了成為每年在澳門舉辦國際短片影展之一的必要穏定性。

《聲音與影像大比拼》能從2010年的一個本土短片比賽到2015年成為國際性的短片影展，我們得致謝政府和各界機構、傳媒、朋友及公眾。感謝你們對《聲音與影像大比拼》一直以來的支持。

今年，我們將放映44部短片和6部音樂影片。《SHORTS - 國際短片比賽》入圍作品皆由初選評審Coke Riobóo、Detsky Graffam、孔慶輝、José Bautista、Julien Dykmans 和 Naya Kuu選出; 而《VOLUME - 國際音樂影片比賽》的評審團由簡米高先生、威光良先生和主評審陸鋼先生組成。決選評審則由程亮先生、彭祖匡先生和主評審張澤鳴先生組成。在12月6日，影展由西班牙製片人Laura Ferrés執導的劇情紀錄片“The Disinherited”作為開場放映，隨後播放由 Mónica Lima 執導的葡萄牙劇情片“Summer Saturn” ，以及其餘五部作品。榮幸能與維拉杜康德國際短片影展的合作，同時十分感謝該影展總監和統籌 Miguel Dias先生，為本影展帶來7部該影展於2016和2017年的得奬作品。

《SHORTS - 國際短片比賽》中入圍短片將於延展電影後放映，而觀眾可於現場參與投票選出「最受歡迎獎」之得獎作品。紀錄片、劇情片及動畫的放映將於12月6日至8日在崗頂劇院舉行，放映作品配有中英文字幕。屆時將有受邀來自國外和本地的導演與評審對談的環節、亦會有來自比利

頒獎禮於12月8日晚上7時舉行。獲獎的影片和所有入圍影片將於2017年12月9日至 10日在永樂戲院放映，皆免費向公眾開放。最後，我們希望各電影愛好者能感受到製片人的看法與用心、他們的精神和內心世界，以及透過影片各種可能的方式使到觀眾感到欣喜。

Desejamos agradecer às instituições governamentais e privadas, associações e comunicação social, amigos e público, pelo apoio incondicional, desde o lançamento em 2010, no formato de competição de audiovisual para os locais, o festival internacional de curtas, com início em 2015. O Júri do painel da competição internacional de vídeos musicais VOLUME, é constituido por Miguel Khan, Ray Granlund, Lok Kong e presidido pelo último. O Grande Júri é constituido por Cheng Liang, João Francisco Pinto, Zhang Zeming e presidido pelo último. No dia 6 de Dezembro, o Festival abre com o documentário Ficção “Os Deserdados” (Los Desheredados) da espanhola Laura Ferrés, e a ficção portuguesa “Verão Saturno” de Mónica Lima, e sequencialmente as restantes curtas dessa curadoria. Graças à colaboração do CURTAS - Festival Internacional de Vila do Conde, e curado-

As mostras de Documentário, Animação e Ficção, decorrerão no Teatro Dom Pedro V de 6 - 8 de Dezembro. Entre as sessões, haverá conversas com realizadores convidados, estrangeiros e de Macau, Júri e Grande Júri, Master Classes com o belga Julien Dykmans e Zhang Zeming de Hong Kong. Os vídeos musicais nomeados da competição VOLUME, serão mostrados no dia 7 à noite. A Cerminónia de Entrega dos Prémios será no dia 8 de Dezembro, pelas 19:00. A população é convidada a juntar-se ao Festival que é inteiramente gratuito. Todos os filmes são legendados em inglês e chinês. Os filmes vencedores e finalistas restantes, serão mostrados no Cinema Alegria (Wing Lok), gratuitamente, nos dias 9 e 10 de Dezembro de 2017. foreword 前言 PREFÁCIO Welcome to the 8th edition of Sound & Image Challenge. For both SHORTS and VOLUME international competitions, this year we received a total of 4607 entries, which is almost triple the amount of submissions to the previous year. The Pre-Selection Jury’s conclusion is a total of 44 shorts of outstanding quality, which was then presented to the Grand Jury. The 6 finalist music videos by local bands, with exceptional quality, were sent to the respective Grand Jury, who would determine the winner.

The use of these venues, are only made possible by the support given by Macau Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) and the management of Cinema Alegria (Wing Lok), to whom we are grateful.

The great number of entries from all over the world is a blessing but also a challenge, since it poses us organisers with the extra responsibility to carry new ideas and events that will, on one hand, match the sheer quality and diversity of the shortlisted works and, on the other, work with stakeholders and movie fans to positively contribute to the development of film-making in Macau.

Once again, the Festival main events will take place at the iconic D. Pedro V Theatre from 5-8 December. Built in 1860, it was inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List twelve years ago, as the first Western-style theatre in all of China. Followed by the showing of the listed films for two days, 9-10 December, at Cinema Alegria (Wing Lok). The movie house is located at the very heart of ancient Macau, a building with a sixties atmosphere, worthy of a Wong Ka Wai’s take for “The Mood of Love” and “2046”.

We wish to thank all participants of the Festival, members of the Grand and Selection Juries, sponsors, supporting organizations, Media, Festival Director and its team, for their great work of building up S&I Challenge into this successful and international Festival we have today.

的三倍。初選評審團挑選出44部出色的入圍

作品予決選評審團以選出最終獲奬者；與此同時，6部以本地樂團音樂製成的優秀音樂影片，亦由其決選評審選出優勝者。

來自世界各地的大量參賽作品既是恩澤，也是個挑戰，令身為主辦單位的我們得設法讓入選作品的質量和多樣性相匹配之餘，不忘

Bem-vindos à 8ª edição do Sound & Image Challenge. Este ano tivemos 4607 submissões nas duas competições internacionais SHORTS e VOLUME, que quase triplicou o número de curtas e vídeo musicais do ano anterior. A lista conclusiva do Júri de Pre-seleccção, inclui 44 filmes de excelentes qualidade e presente ao Grande Júri que irá decidir as curtas vencedoras. A lista de 6 videos musicais finalistas de bandas de Macau, de altíssima qualidade, foi enviada ao Grande Júri desta modalidade, que irá determinar o vencedor. O número generoso de filmes, provenientes de todo o mundo, desafia a responsabilidade da organização a acolher novas ideias, manter a qualidade e deversidade, contribuindo assim para o desenvolvimento da produção de cinema em Macau.

Uma vez mais, o programa principal do Festival decorre de 5 a 8 de Dezembro, no Teatro Dom Pedro V, um edifício icónico e o primeiro teatro da China em estilo europeu datado de 1860, classificado pela UNESCO como Património Mundial da Humanidade. De 9 a 10 de Dezembro a mostra dos filmes e vídeo-musicais finalistas, decorre no Cinema Alegria (Wing Lok), uma casa de cinema anos 60, localizado no coração de Macau e parte antiga da cidade, cuja atmosfera foi objecto de interesse do cineasta Wong Ka Wai onde filmou partes de The Mood for Love e 2046. O uso para o Festival destas duas pedras preciosas, só é possível graças ao apoio do Gabinete de Assuntos Culturais de Macau (IC) e à gestão do Cinema Alegria (Wing Lok) a quem estamos gratos. Desejamos agradecer a todos os participantes do Festival, membros do Grande Júri e Júri de Pre-Selecção, patrocinadores, organizações apoiantes, parceiros e comunicação, sem este importantíssimo apoio, não seria possível a realização do Festival. SCARAMPELLA Scarampella String Quartet is formed by the musicians from Macao Orchestra: Melody Wang 1st violin, Wang Yue 2nd violin, Vit Polasek viola and Lu Yan cello. The name of the Quartet is inspired by the famous Italian violinmaker Stefano Scarampella which the first violinist Melody plays on. The musicians are from Australia, China and Czech Republic. They have performed in various venues in China and Macau. Individually they are also active soloist and orchestra musicians giving concerts worldwide. They have wide range of repertoire from classical to modern and they perform regularly from casual events to formal concerts.

String Quartet Scarampella String Quartet é formado por músicos da Orquestra de Macau: Melody Wang 1º violinista Wang Yue 2º violino, Vit Polasek viola e Lu Yan violoncelo. O nome do Quarteto é inspirado no famoso fabricante italiano de violinos Stefano Scarampella, instrumento que a 1º violinista Melody toca. Os músicos são naturais da Austrália, China e República Checa. O grupo tem participado em vários palcos em Macau e China. Actuam internacionalmente como solistas e em grupo na Orquestra de Macau. Com um repertório bastante alargado entre o clássico e o moderno, actuam regularmente em eventos ligeiros e formais.

Lu Yan 斯卡拉佩拉弦樂四重奏由來自澳門樂團

的四位演奏家組成。他們分別來自中國、澳大利亞和捷克。重奏組名稱來源於第一

小提琴王佳婧所使用的1880年意大利名琴斯卡拉佩拉。多年來他們四人以個人及團隊形式活躍於國際各大舞台，演奏範圍

之廣泛，從古典到現代，從小型宴會到大型音樂會，廣受好評。

introduction 介紹 INTRODUÇÃO EXPANDED CINEMA Thanks to the collaboration with CURTAS – Vila do Conde International Festival, Sound & Image Challenge International Festival 2017 is presenting 7 short film winners from CURTAS 2016 and 2017 – they are of high quality, have innovative approach in both creativity and technically around the different topics. Miguel Dias, director and organiser of CURTAS, was invited to select its top short films to be screened in Macau alongside the Festival.

The Disinherited (Los Desheredados) is a portrait of the director’s father facing the end of his family business. Pere Ferrés is 53 years old and owns a bus company. Spanish cinema has consistently sought to build an imagery of the violent economic crisis that crashed upon Southern European countries in recent years.

Os Deserdados (Los Desheredados) é um retrato do pai da realizadora, que enfrenta a falência do negócio da família. Pere Ferrés tem 53 anos e possui uma empresa de autocarros. O cinema espanhol procurou construir um imaginário da crise económica violenta que se abateu nos países do sul da Europa nos anos recentes.

Biography 導演簡介 Biografia Laura Ferrés is a filmmaker from Barcelona (Spain). A Perro Flaco is her degree’s final project, a fiction short film selected by 60 festivals around the world such as SEMINCI 2014 (Spain) and Montreal World Film Festival 2015 (Canada). Los Desheredados is her second short film and it was premiered at the Semaine de la Critique - Cannes 2017.

Since then, she has taken a special interest in animation, and through the years, she has made small-animated films for several brands. /Mónica Santos studied at the Royal College of Art, Communication art & design, London, where she had a scholarship given by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. Currently she is doing a PhD in film studies.

Drop by drop is her first co-directed short animated film.

There are only four buildings in this city, separated by an endless highway, all of them sustained by a large rock levitating aimlessly in outer space: a hotel whose guests are sardines, a restaurant with no clients served by rodents, a call centre with monkeys as operators and an empty supermarket supplied by a canine in charge of replenishing products.

Mohammad Baghi has living in Italy for six years and is currently studying a Masters Degree in Sapienza, University of Rome (“Entertainment, fashion and digital arts”). He has directed ten films since 2004: short films, documentaries, videoart pieces, etc.

Pedro Patrocíno was also born in 1982 in Lisbon. He moved to Japan at the age of four and has been working as a director of photography since 2005.

Sze-wen, Kang was born in Malaysia in 1990. She holds a Bachelor in Chinese Studies from UTAR of Malaysia and worked in a local production house besides being a news reporter. She is now studying MFA in film making at NTUA. Her works are mainly around the relationships between life, society and people.

江詩雯，1990年生於馬來西亞吉隆坡，馬來西亞大學中文系學士畢業。她曾在當地的製作室裡參與製作短片，亦曾是一名新聞記者。目前正在台灣藝術大學攻讀電影藝術碩士學位。她的作品主要圍繞着生活、社會與人之間的關係。

Philippe is an award-winning filmmaker born in Montreal, Canada. Since graduating from the Mel-Hoppenheim School of Cinema he has been living and making films in Japan. Beginning in 2010 with his short-film ARIA, made in his first-year at film-school, his films have been selected in festivals around the world and received multiple prizes and distinctions.

Biography 導演簡介 Biografia Valentina studied Audiovisual Communication in her native Chile. She now works at Santiago International Film Festival and the production company that makes the festival Storyboard Media. She is currently developing the script of a fiction feature film project that follows a similar tone to “No Right”: women protagonists involved in problems of a patriarchal society.

Christian, a high school student developed a hatred of foreigners after being involved in a fight with immigrants. One night he assaulted a pair of foreign couple, and the incident had an enormous effect on Christian and his family and shattered the illusion of the neo-Nazi propaganda.

He then focused on producing music videos and worked as an assistant director and editor on many documentaries and promotional films. He is now developing the script for a feature film version of Fear.

Alireza Ghasemi, born in 1990 Iran, currently a film studies master student at the Cinema and Theatre Department of Tehran University of Art. He was the director of the 11th Nahal Student Short Film Festival, and later became a member of the Nahal Academy. In addition to writing and directing several short films, he has founded The Globe International Silent Film Festival in 2015.

Alireza Ghasemi，1990年出生於伊朗，他目前正於德黑蘭藝術大學電影戲劇專業攻讀碩士課程。他曾擔任第十一屆Nahal學生短片節總監，後來成為Nahal學院的成員。除了撰寫和執導短片外，他更在2015年創立了環球國際無聲電影節。

Alireza Ghasemi nasceu no Irão em 1990. Licenciou-se em produção de filmes na Universidade de Artes do Teerão. Frequenta um Mestrado em filme na mesma universidade e realizou 11º Nahal Festival de Curtas Estudantil. Sebastian Mez was born in 1982 in Essen. He was a trainee at a film production company and directed several social ads and short films. In 2007, he began studying Documentary Film at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Film Academy. The same year, he directed his first documentary film about the death penalty in Texas, “Do the Right Thing”.

Amin Malakootikhah was born in 1991, Isfahan, Iran. After taking a Bachelor in Chemical Engineering, he took his Master’s Degree in Animation Directing. He has always been involved in visual communication and after passing various courses in animation fields, he created his first short animation “I’m not alone” in January 2017 as partial fulfillment of his MA graduation project.

Amin Malakootikhah 於1991年在伊朗伊斯法罕出生。在取得化學工程學士學位後，由於他對視覺藝術充滿熱情，他決定修讀動畫導演碩士學位。他一直參與視覺傳播工作，在通過各種動畫領域的課程後，他在2017年1月創作了自己的第一部動畫短片“我孤單嗎？”作為碩士畢業作品的一部分。

Alzbeta Buresova is an animator, artist, and a graphic designer. She recently completed her master’s degree from The Ladislav Sutnar´s Faculty of Design and Art at the University of West Bohemia in 2016.

Montana Hall was born in Los Angeles, California, a hotspot for film and art. This turned out to be a stroke of luck, as she pursued art and film intensely since her tiny hands could grasp a pencil. Biography 導演簡介 Biografia Yi Luo is from China, and has been living in Germany since 2007. She started her studies in animation at the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg in 2015. She publishes her illustrations and comics using the pseudonym Yinfinity.

After dropping out of college to pursue making animation, he worked in an animation studio in Singapore before working on his personal projects. He now works as a CG Lead at an animation studio in India, and his animation shorts have won several awards.

She won the 1839 Young Photographer Award in 2015. Without a permanent base, she works mostly in Taiwan and occasionally commuting to Macau.

This is a journey about a relationship of a boy and his soul mate and how they deal with life and death. The visual style of paper-cut texture and scrawl lines is applied to this 2D animation to express the director’s childhood memories walking with his dog - Pochi.

Kawo is an animation director from Macao, and currently completing MFA Computer Art Department at the School of Visual Arts in New York. His bachelor degree was a 3D animation major from Shih Chien University. He usually puts his pet and what he dreamt in his artworks.

Com uma carreira de mais de duas décadas, trabalhou como jornalista em vários jornais, rádios e em televisão. Actualmente é também presidente da Associação de Imprensa em Português e Inglês de Macau. No ano passado, foi eleito presidente do News Group da ABU (Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union) para um mandato de três anos. João Francisco Pinto tem uma licenciatura em economia e vários cursos de jornalismo em Portugal, Macau e Estados Unidos.

Zhang Zeming 張澤鳴 Film director, Screenwriter born in Guangzhou in 1951 He joined the Pearl River Film Studio in 1978 and first worked as a production assistant and continuity supervisor while writing screenplays. He completed the screenplay for Swan Song in 1984, which the studio invited him to direct under an initiative that encouraged young filmmakers. Zhang went on to direct Sun And Rain in 1987. Zhang moved to the United Kingdom in 1989, and worked on several screenplays for the BBC and British Film Institute, culminating in his directing Foreign Moon (1995). In the interim, in 1991 he moved to Hong Kong with his family and wrote and directed the feature film A Date in Portland Street (1994) for Golden Harvest. In 2011, he directed Crossing the Border, a 90-minute tele-feature for CCTV6, which he also wrote. Zhang was a member of the China Film Association, and is currently a member of the Society of Authors of the United Kingdom, Hong Kong Film Directors’ Guild, Hong Kong Screenwriters’ Guild and the China Film Directors’ Guild. 電影編劇導演。出生於廣州。祖籍福建。

Detsky Graffam Director, Editor and Producer Detsky has worked as a director and editor for the BBC, Channel 4, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central. His short films have won several awards and prizes. The short film Down Under won 1st place at the 20th Century Fox Sehnsucht Australian Awards. The short “90 Degrees North” has been screened at over 60 Film Festivals, won over 22 awards and was nominated for the European Film Award in 2016. This short won, in Macau, the prizes of ”BEST FILM OF THE FESTIVAL” and “BEST FICTION” of the festival “Sound & Image Challenge International Festival 2016”. Julien Dykmans Graphic Designer, Producer and Director Winner of the prize BEST FILM OF THE FESTIVAL and BEST ANIMATION of Sound & Image Challenge International Festival 2015. Julien Dykmans is a 33-year-old Graphic Designer from Belgium. He has been working in the film, TV and advertising industry for the last ten years. He has worked on blockbusters such as Harry Potter, Star Trek Beyond and Assassin’s Creed. In 2006 he completed his first short film, The Way of Hope. Wanting to pursue this creative avenue, he decided to embark upon a second journey in animated film by directing The Mechanical Waltz, which he wrote, directed and animated. This film won several awards worldwide. Hong Heng Fai 孔慶輝 Director and Producer In 2014, Hong founded his studio named as Day Day Studio, based in Macao. He had then produced his first short film “Before Dawn” that later won the champion of the “Rush 48 Competition” which held by Macao Cultural Centre. Encouraged by the recognition of his films, he then continued to engage himself in short films. His three subsequent short films, Caged, In Memory of Her and Crash, were then successively nominated at the ‘Macao International Film and Video Festival’. Crash won the festival’s “Jury’s Commendation Award (Short Film) of Macao Indies” and being nominated for ‘The Best Live Action Short Film’ of the 53rd Golden Horse Awards. His film Crash won, in Macau, the prizes of “MACAU CULTURAL IDENTITY” and “BEST LOCAL ENTRY” of “Sound & Image Challenge International Festival in 2016”. 導演、製片人

Band Biography 樂隊簡介 Biografia da Banda Alex Ao Ieong is a young Macau singer and winner of numerous singing competitions. He won the gold prize of the 14th session of The Voice of Campus singing contest, as well as the gold prize and the best voice award of Macau Cantonese singing contest in 2013.

李宇軒曾於2015 澳門大學傳播週<<十八歲，荷蘭水>>微電影擔任男主角, 而現在在澳門微辣創作有限公司參與拍攝工作。

Band Biography 樂隊簡介 Biografia da Banda Experience was founded by Bruce Pun (Vocal / Lead Guitar) in 2001. Other members are John Wong (Vocal / Guitar), 劉安傑 (Bass Guitar) and Voz (Drum). Their initial music styles were Light Rock and Jazz but now is more diverse.

Experience 於 2001 年由身兼作曲家及古典結他演奏家的潘子文 (主音/ 主吉他) 成立。樂團其他成員包括黃子康 (聲/吉他)、劉安傑 (低音吉他)、譚俊豪 (鼓) 。樂團風格初以輕搖滾、爵士樂為主，現轉向多類型發展。

A Banda Experience, fundada 2001 por Bruce Pun, vocalista e guitarrista inclui John Wong, vocalista, guitarrista baixo, voz e baterista. Do rock leve a Jazz ficou no rock moderno.

Bruce Pun was born in Macau and graduated in Macau Polytechnic Institute (Music Education). He obtained the Diploma in Classical Guitar Virtuoso in “Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris”. He formed the band Experience and is the vocalist and lead guitarist. 潘子文生於澳門，畢業於澳門理工學院（音樂教育系）。隨後在2009年獲得巴黎音樂師範學院古典吉他演奏家文憑。他除了擔任Experience樂隊結他手和主唱外，同時不斷創作歌曲，並自創了稱為“Fado”的音樂風格。

Bruce asceu em Macau e licenciou-se em Música no Instituto Politécnico de Macau. Estudou em Paris onde obteve o Diploma em “Guitarra Clássica Virtuosa” na Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris. Fundou a banda Experience onde é vocalista e guitarrista principal.

Choi Ian Sin is from Macau. She obtained the MA degree in The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Her first feature film “Sisterhood” is screened in 2017 and at the 1st International Film Festival & Awards in Macau in 2016.

徐欣羨，澳門新晉青年導演，在台灣主修電影學，其後在香港演藝學院完成碩士課程，曾拍攝多部短片及紀錄片，其長篇處女作《骨妹》於2017年上映。

Choi Ian Sin é de Macau e licenciou-se em Estudos Cinematográficos. Obteve o Mestrado na Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Realizou e produziu várias curtas e documentários. A primeira longa-metragem”Sisterhood”, foi mostrada no 1º Festival Internacional de Cinema e Prémios, em Macau, 2016.

Ray Granlund 威光良 Co-founder of SIC, musician, composer and artist manager and booking agent Ray Granlund holds Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University in his native Houston (USA). After a 15-year career as a classical and electronic musician and composer, music and food journalist and cultural entrepreneur, he returned to academia, earning a Master of Arts with distinction in Cultural Policy, Relations and Diplomacy from Goldsmiths, University of London, for his research into international aspects of popular music and arts funding, and the phenomenon of gastrodiplomacy in food and cooking shows. He now resides in London and works as an editor and musicologist at White Label Productions, serving the classical music and original soundtrack recording industry. 《聲音與影像大比拼》的聯合創始人、音樂家、作曲家、藝術家經紀人、企業家

Após uma carreira de 15 anos como músico e compositor de música clássica e electrónica, jornalista de cultura e gastronomia, e empreendedor cultural, decidiu regressar aos estudos, recebendo o Mestrado de Artes com distinção em Cultura Política, Relações e Diplomacia da Goldsmith, Universidade de Lodres, pelos seus trabalhos de investigação onde estudou questões internacionais no âmbito do financiamento das Artes e da Música, assim como o fenómeno de gastrodiplomacia presente em programas de televisão sobre gastronomia e culinária. About Script Writing “What to tell” and “How to tell” are keys to start a film. They are simple to understand yet complicated to form an evocative script. Movie Director, Producer and Scriptwriter Zhang Zheming, is going to illustrate how these two elements could build up meanings. Ideas, objectives, themes and feelings could be what to tell in a film. Real, vivid, believable characters illuminate the fictional world built in a cinematographic realm. In the second part, “How to tell”, of the Masterclass, Zhang will show us the approach to structurally form the writing and how it helps in developing the plots.

“說甚麼”和“怎樣說”是電影製作開始的關鍵要素，這很容易理解，但要做出令人思考和共鳴的劇本卻很複雜。電影導演、製片人、編劇張澤鳴將講解這兩個要素是如何構建意義的，想法、目標、主題和感覺皆是可在電影中表達的東西；真實、生動、可信的角色能使虛構的電影王國“活”過來。在大師班中的第二部分： “怎樣說”中，張澤鳴將展示寫作的結構，並說明它能如何幫助撰寫電影劇情。

Considerações sobre Argumento “O que contar” e “Como contar” é a chave principal para um filme. Dois pontos fundamentais mas complexos, que poderão tornar o argumento interessante. O cineasta, productor e argumentista Zhang Zeming, vai ilustrar estes pontos de vista que podem ser tão significativos. Ideias, temas, objectivos e emoções serão os ingredients do filme. Os personagens para serem credíveis terão que dar vida à história, ficcionada pelo universo cinematográfico. Na segunda parte, “Como contar”, Zhang vai-nos mostrar formas de abordagens, estruturas de argumento e modos de desenvolvimento.
