Suchana Saha
Suchana Saha was born and brought up in Kolkata, the cultural capital of India. She has finished a post-graduate diploma in Animation Cinema from Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, and did her Bachelor’s in Animation from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata. She attended Moscow International Summer School (VGIK) in July 2018 and interned at Eeksaurus in 2014 and Animagic India in 2015. Her films are Khelna (2014), Paper (2015), The Intraview (2016), Maa Tuki (2018), Poter Kotha (2019) and Whole (2020). Maa Tuki got 44 International nominations and 14 awards. Poter Kotha and Paper got national nominations. Her most recent film Find me, Mother was in the “Official Selection” list of the Sound & Image Challenge International Festival 2019, screened in December. Suchana has worked as a production designer in live-action films. In 2020 she was picked for jury of the Animation panel for the Macau International Short Film Festival.

Suchana Saha nasceu e viveu em Calcutá, capital cultural da Índia. Tirou uma pós-graduação em Cinema de Animação no Instituto de Cinema e Televisão Satyajit Ray e a Licenciatura em Animação no St. Xavier’s College, em Calcutá. Frequentou a Moscow International Summer School (VGIK) em Julho de 2018 e estagiou no Eeksaurus em 2014 e na Animagic India em 2015. Os seus filmes Khelna (2014), Paper (2015), The Intraview (2016), Maa Tuki (2018), Poter Kotha (2019) e Whole (2020). Maa Tuki obteve 44 nomeações 14 prémios internacionais e Poter Kotha e Paper receberam nomeações nacionais. O filme mais recente, Find me, Mother fez parte da “Selecção Oficial” do Sound & Image Challenge International Festival 2019 exibido em Dezembro. Suchana trabalhou como designer de produção em filmes de acção. Em 2020, foi convidada para júri no painel de Animação do Festival Internacional de Curtas de Macau.
