Entering the provincial bronze in tournament as the sixth seeded team, the Bears were placed in a Oakville
District challenging pool with Mississauga’s St. Aloysius Gonzaga CSS (3rd seed), Thornhill’s St. Elizabeth CSS (9th seed), Kingston’s Holy Cross CSS (16th seed), and Hamilton’s St. Jean de Brebeuf CSS (17th seed). On the opening day, ODSS began the round robin play in style with a convincing 8-3 victory over St. Jean de Brebeuf. The second game of the day proved a little more challenging as the Bears dropped a closely fought 3-2 result to Holy Cross. With a 1-1 record entering the second day of competition, the Bears finished the day (and round robin play) with a 2-1-1 record after drawing 3-3 with St. Elizabeth and a must-win 1-0 victory over St. Aloysius Gonzaga. The five points earned ODSS a second-place pool finish and a berth in the quarter-
final’s against Windsor’s Catholic Central High School - the tournament’s 3rd-seed team. Not to be intimidated by their opponents’ high seeding, ODSS came from behind to win 4-3, scoring four unanswered goals in the second and third periods, to earn their place in the semifinal against the eventual OFSAA champions, St. Michael’s College. After losing the semi-final to St. Michael’s, the Bears proved their resilience and determination by coming out strong and defeating St. Elizabeth by a score of 4-1 in the bronze medal game. In addition to the bronze medal, ODSS finished the tournament with the top two point getters – Zachary Banks (11 pts) and Trevor Nevidomskis (10 pts) - with Travis Brown (9 pts) finishing tied for fourth.
