Hawaiian Ka Huna Bodywork - Polynesian Healing & Philosophy - Ka Huna Massage - Not just a Massage, it is an Experience The magic and power of this healing system goes beyond what words are able to express. When experiencing Ka Huna bodywork people are amazed by the energy they receive from the healing sessions. "Yes, it is a lot more than a massage; it's an experience", "like swimming with dolphins", "a soul to soul dance". An active meditation for both giver and receiver. "It's a gift of deep and exquisite healing". "The best massage I have ever had, the Rolls Royce of all massages." "You feel whole and touched inside and out." Ka Huna bodywork differs from remedial massage because it not only works on a physical level, but mentally and spiritually as well. This beautiful form of bodywork provides a holistic approach to healing by balancing the body-mind in its physical, emotional and spiritual dimensions. The most noticeable difference between having a Ka Huna massage and a remedial massage is the way the therapist uses their hands, forearms and elbows and moves around the table (using flowing hula & Tai Chi style movements) working with energy while applying soft and deep tissue massage. Music is played and the practitioner (bodyworker) attunes the flow of the massage to harmonise the various rhythms within the client's body-mind-soul.
What is Ka Huna Bodywork? This healing system is derived from the ancient Polynesian methods of restoring balance to the body, mind and soul. Through this treatment of the physical body, powerful healing is able to take place more quickly and completely on the physical, psychological and spiritual levels. Polynesian philosophy all has to do with moving forward, changing and acknowledging that you are creating your own reality by what you think, say and do.
Who can receive Ka Huna Bodywork ? Anyone who is open to the experience. The greater the openness, the greater the impact. Bodyworkers work with the energy to empower themselves and the client, to build up personal energy create vitality, to awareness of the body, the mind set and emotional realities, and a connection to the spiritual level.
What happens during and after a massage? Every time you have a Ka Huna massage you will experience something different • Physically, the body displays changes in shape which reflect the inner healing and growth and the release of destructive behavior patterns. • Mental confusion is cleared and clarity of vision and direction is developed. This is showed in more flexible, open and positive attitude. • Emotional release occurs whereby blocks in relationships can be cleared, promoting happiness and freedom. Fear, envy, hate, jealousy, submission to the will of others, selfishness, anger grief, bitterness and depression are some of the destructive emotions which can be dissolved as the clients learn to control the negative aspects of their own personality. • On a spiritual level, connection is made with the higher self through dance, movements, breath work and meditation which develops an awareness of the symbols in your life and their significance. We can change our lives and the world in which we live.
