The Business Continuity Plan increases our business recovery capabilities dramatically. That means we can make the right decisions quickly, cut downtime and minimise financial losses. Preparedness is Key, having a Business Continuity Management (BCM) in place demonstrates our commitment towards the business and gives confidence to our customers, employees, suppliers and other stakeholders.

It’s our way to meet our customers’ expectations and emphasise due diligence to our key stakeholders. It helps strengthen Sodexo’s reputations by ensuring we continue to operate and meet legal, regulatory and contractual obligations. How did we achieve it? The Sodexo team measured and analysed minor and major situations in which we could face in a crisis. We are Building Safety and Health in our Business

We are Health and Safety Compliant Promoting Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) is becoming a company culture in Singapore. Becoming bizSAFE certified is a big recognition and achievement that shows a company’s commitment to uplift safety and health standards. We are very proud to announce that Sodexo Singapore received the highest recognition from the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Council, achieving bizSAFE Star certification this March 2012. Through our commitment in upholding the WSH principles we are building Safety and Health in our company making Sodexo a good workplace environment for employees. Besides being bizSAFE Star certified we are pleased in receiving and being recognised as an OHSAS 18001 company. OHSAS 18001 is an international health and safety system; it demonstrates a company’s Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) performance by promoting a safe and healthy working environment. This success has been made possible thanks to the management team and key support of various departments especially QHSE. Sodexo employees participate on STOP Hunger Servathon aim to fight hunger and malnutrition in their communities.

In April, 107 Sodexo Singapore employees with family and friends volunteered, entertain elders, cleaned floor areas, gave food donations from sponsors employees and suppliers, painted the rooms and help serve food at Sree Narayana Mission Home.

Received goods donations of 2167.86 kilos of food and non-food items from towels, toothpaste, soaps, milk powder, slippers, etc. While we got a total of 2,621.48 Euro or $4,203.00 SGD fundraising from employees and suppliers. We bought cleaning materials, decorations, paint materials and more.

Singapore Annual Food Festivals and more Mission: Addmoresphere Continued from page 7 In Offshore, our business is to take care of the crew and especially on the oil rigs where long extended remote time is a normal day-to-day life. Our mission is to have that feeling of being at home considering they are onboard at sea. For instance when their going inside the vessel after a long hard day of work, outside with the elements. When the crew comes inside to clean up and saw their room kept sparkling clean, then taking a break at the mess hall while relaxing and having a very wonderful home style meal that has been prepared with smile. Rest assured that after a long days work they will receive the best treatment while onboard with our team. Our services go beyond normal, with the introduction of Addmoresphere, this concept has taken away that bland sterile wall in different areas and lifted it up and made the section much more appealing and interesting to the crew. The cinema area for example, previously was a room filled with chairs. Now it has the feeling of a real cinema just like at home, it only needs some popcorn and drinks to really set the mood. At the dining area or mess hall previously you are greeted with white sterile wall, now just going inside the dining area has a feeling that you’re at home looking outside the window and see the trees, rivers and sceneries that gives you comfort. The next mural being conceptualised is about ‘The History of Drilling’ it will be a new featured mural that will no doubt appeal to all the workers in the offshore industry. This mural starts off in black and white with a driller sitting on top of a wooden box next to the drill pipe. It will be followed by another photo taken of a 6th generation drilling console where the driller is sitting in a cyber chair with touch screen and joystick controls. Continuation, page 13

In Singapore, we are celebrating Hari Raya in August 2012 as part of our Annual Food Festivals. Our food festivals comprises from green initiatives, Western and Regional cuisines and what’s more we partner with Coca – Cola to benefit customers by giving them more value while enjoying different cuisines every month through our Food Festivals. In July 2012 ‘Food Bundle 2‘ was launched, expect exciting prizes to be won from IPod Touch, IPAD, DVD Players and cool Coca-Cola merchandise. On top of our 12 Food Festivals for the whole year we also have our classic food offers from Japanese, Korean and Indian cuisines that goes around as part of our guest chef program. In July, our colleagues shaved their hair as a symbolic gesture to support HfH - ‘Hair for Hope’. HfH is an activity to create awareness of childhood cancer in Singapore. Showing children with cancer and their families that they are not alone by telling children with cancer it is OK to be bald. Through this program our colleagues are raising funds to help these children. HfH is the only head-shaving event in Singapore. On its 10th consecutive year, Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF) organised the ceremonial hair cutting session last 28 and 29 July 2012, from 11am to 7pm (Saturday) and 11am to 6pm (Sunday) at Vivo City. HfH extended the online donation till 30 September 2012. You have

BCM Certified Continued from page 3 We worked with our consultants over a period of 6 months wherein all the recovery processes were documented and back-ups created as required by the standards. Training of key personnel was conducted and test simulations were done to determine the workability of our recovery plans to be properly carried out. Our recovery processes include back-up infrastructure was audited by two (2) senior auditors and we were awarded the BCM certification after stringent checks and confirmation of all requirements. Value to Sodexo Business Continuity Management (BCM) gives us a lead in the market by ensuring that we are prepared for any situation in time of crisis, the impact on Sodexo Singapore and our clients will be restricted to a minimal. This capability makes us a Valued Partner to do business and will help promote organic growth for the company.

Connexions : Sodexo Singapore eNewsletter * July – August 2012 Mission: Addmoresphere Continued from page 8 This mural goes along with a photo of ‘Mister Charley’, the first ever semi submersible drilling rig which is a training rig and museum at Morgan City, Louisiana. Then next to the photo of Mister Charley is the Atwood Condor the latest 6th Generation Deep Water Semi Submersible rig. I have noticed on many occasions I often see the crew here stopped and stare at these great murals that Sodexo has placed in certain parts of the accommodation. I can feel it has definitely had a great impact towards morale as well because the crew realise that Atwood Oceanics are focused towards their well being and are trying to make the rig have an appeal that it is their home away from home. Definitely a great move.
