Brief/Session/Document Title Geek Table Collective Brief Working collaboratively with the Leeds College of Art BA (Hons) Graphic Design group, ‘Geek Table’, (Baljeet Samra, Beth Yates, Sarah Pritchard, Lisa Whitaker, Claudia Griffin, Kirsty Alderson and Kirsty Hardingham), brand and design the identity and deliverables for the design co-operative to help promote the individuals’ design practice as a collective, as well as separate entities. Also explore the potential of promoting the freelance pursuits and work of the group members through setting weekly briefs to develop a portfolio and body of work, as well as promoting and hosting an exhibition which showcases the work of the collective to both the general public and industry professionals. Background / Considerations Promoting the work of each individual designer with the over-arching collective is of paramount consideration in producing a brand design outcome that each designer feels equally proud to be represented by. Reuniting for proposed events together throughout the years such as studio visits (hosting and attending), pop up shops and lectures, the brand identity must stand the test of time, yet still remain intrinsically modern and contemporary. Mandatory Requirements -

Research existing branding and brand identities for design collectives on both a National and global scale to provide influence and inspiration for the brand outcomes and deliverables. Work collectively and structure regular meetings and design sessions to focus on creating a brand identity and aesthetic that successfully visually communicates and promotes our professional practice.

Branded stationary including business cards, letterheads, compliment slips, etc. (to be confirmed). Printed and online portfolio. Twitter account / Social Networking media (collective). Website / Blog (collective). Promotional materials for exhibition
